With the incoming of boosted lvl 90's on PTR, when do you think they will hit live?

While it could be, this time they are giving us our rewards early. In particular the free 90. That leads me to believe it will be as soon as they are able.

Do you happen to recall off the top of your head any approximate dates that might indicate where we are now, relatively, compared to the Cata->MoP transition ? Like ... the CE mount/pet popping up on PTR, announcements to expect pre-purchase "soon", etc

Closed beta started about 4 months before the release date announcement. MoP PTR opened a week before that announcement. Blizzard intends to squeeze another PvP season in before WoD launch and haven't even ended the current one yet. Or started WoD beta.

have they said what the ilvl will be of the 90s? I am curious if they will go low like 500 or go high like 540. I'm sure if they go high ilvl it may pull players back in a they could get a couple of more dollars out of their playerbase during a dead time for the xpac

I said June but I misread and thought it was for paid 90s epwhich I don't think will be until the expansion drops. For the preorder I think march or april

If it's two months before launch, when the release date is announced: April.
If it's sooner than that, when the new PvP season starts and the PTR patch comes out: February.

I'm still banking on a June release. Only once we hit March with no Beta and/or April 24th with no official release date, I'm not backing down on that.

They said "dungeon blues," but IDK if that's official.

Ideally no one has ever hit the level cap of the last expansion, looked at their dungeon blues, and thought "I win." (Source)
