    Holy Paladin 5.4

Since we're no longer in PTR, I wanted to start a thread where we can post our current status.

I'm a competitive heroic raider and I try to keep up with other top geared holy paladins.
Here's a few things that I've noticed on the first day of raiding (from a 25m perspective):

    • Eternal Flame (EF) is the way to go in 25m's.
      • There are a lot of fights that have constant damage, and the EF ticks are very strong.
      • I went for the 3506 (13 ticks of EF) breakpoint. The 14th tick is nice, but 7170 haste is taking away WAY too much mastery.
    • Make a weak aura for your legendary cloak, the proc is called Spirit of Chi-Ji.
    • I've seen a lot of discussion about stat-weights. As Aladya has said in the past, Intellect is still our strongest stat. You should go for whatever spirit you're comfortable with (I'm good with 15000, but others are going for more, I'll link some armories below). After that, it's definitely mastery > haste breakpoint (3506 or 7170) > crit

Here are some armories from some of the top ranking holy paladins...I'm not sure when their armory is updated, but it's always nice to see what they're doing:

    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...ladya/advanced (Method HP)
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...obina/advanced (Blood Legion HP)
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...Smirk/advanced (Paragon HP)
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...ichan/advanced (Midwinter HP)
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...olori/advanced (Immersion HP)
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...rrius/advanced (Immersion HP)
    http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...Tagzz/advanced (Duality HP)
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...nella/advanced (Envy HP)

Other very good holy paladins (I'm obviously going to miss some):

Btw, here are my healing logs for our first night of raiding (3 hours worth and 9 bosses down):
    http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/r...m/healingDone/

I think we're in a pretty good state with our current gear. Not sure how the trinkets and T16 will impact this.
I also think that our Guardian + CDs can bring some pretty great throughput.

Holy Prism feels really strong on some of the bosses due to the hit boxes. It's great. It feels like a genuinely life saving ability when used on Nurushen etc.

These logs are garbage atm until they start filtering bosses.

That said, your 25 logs look very different to my 10. EF was 30% of healing for me. SS 25-30%. IH 20% or lower.

I think we're probably going to see different stat priorities in 10s / 25s and larger differences in play than we have previously.

Our holy paladin went EF + full haste (somewhere around 15k) and said he could heal all day without losing any mana at 14k spirit. His numbers seemed to be rather strong too. (10man).

After 13 bosses I've seen same kind of healing breakdown in 10man with Spirit -> Haste (7170) > Mastery. I think the difference comes from Holy Radiance not refreshing shields on melee in 10man am I right? We have 1 melee so it's not really viable to roll shields on him / tanks.

Due to earlier observation I think mastery isn't very good on 10man now. On some bosses LoD refreshes shields (and it's possible to go SS which was quite nice even though I used it suboptimally) reliably but on spread fights there is no such way, thus, I personally like going haste. Also I feel like haste is giving much more throughput and mana hasn't been issue yet. We'll see how it goes in heroics.

In 10man I felt much much stronger than in 5.3 topping other healers by a huge margin in Paragons of the Klaxxi (we 3 healed this to test some things where I topped with around 95k hps other healers being below 75k if someone is interested on normal mode numbers). I used EF on this fight, however, SS might be quite good option also.

10/14 atm, been using spirit / haste to 7170/ mastery .... numbers have been insane holding 120-150k hps without any mana issues ( 2healing everything with a resto shammy) , but im ending fights without much to spare. EF is just as strong even after the nerfs and i cant see SH being viable on many fights in 10man. The other thing im liking about the 7170 haste is after raiding for 2 tiers at 3506 haste my globals feel sooooo much better now, funny how much tenths of a second count for

Why they go on INT gems ?

Int is good on terms of affecting all our T45 talents which makes switching easier. I am not sure about HPS, bouchbagette indicated it would be HPS loss and Kolori disagreed. Probably the difference is not huge but it is a quality of life improvement (haste also affects all talents, but not that much on SH, which will probably only be used on Thok if even there).

Wow I feel cheated. I'm in 10 man..only have 2 bosses down ..but our heals seem different. I have about 7300 haste and 13k spirit..still never run out ..but my healing is around 100k ..the disc priest and druid we have do 110k each and some how we don't have more bosses down . I need to tell my group to focus more on progression then the dumb flex lol.
    Rise from the darkness?
    I'd rather embrace it.

Yes i have thok down allready but i go on 17k spirit and full Haste with Avenger, Prism/Hammer, EF

I raid 10 man. Ilevel 449. At the moment i run with:

    7200 haste (14 EF tick)
    14000 spirit
    9500 mastery
Intelect - i dont use pure int gems, only using couple of spirit + int gems in red sockets.

I wonder if you think i would benefit more from replacing some mastery for intelect? Especially on the heroic bosses next week.

    Any suggestions?

As a 10 man healer and with our healing setup ive been taking SH and going for a heavy mastery build. I'm finding I have 0 mana issues during normal week and aside from Malkorok where I took EF I have been able to compete if not beat our MW on all fights (sat out on Nazgrim and protectors as loot destribution became prevalent) and our disc priest is nowhere to be seen. Obviously as the pure HoTs of the MW are going to be sniping any EF ticks I'm feeling SH but if anyone has any suggestions im more than happy to take it on board and try it out.

Are you guys talking about 7,170 haste with or without raid buffs. I got some nice haste gear and I wonder if I should try to play with even more haste. What you think ^^

7170 rating without any buffs. This gives you 14th tick of EF with 5% haste in the raid.

    7k+ haste
    18.5k+ spirit
    3.7k+ mastery

Seems to be working well so far, have to take a closer look for heroic raiding, though.
To be human is to possess superior intelligence to other species, yet channel that otherwise-wondrous potential into the most degenerate of endeavors rather than benefiting the world.

I have to say that the 7170 haste breakpoint really is nice. With the style of dmg going out this tier, ef is extremely strong. Judging from other responses it seems ef and the 7170 breakpoint is the way to go. I ended with 175 k hps on malkorok with that.

So IF we going for the 14th Tick EF (Haste build), i got 3 questions here:

How the Gemming will go? (and Why many Paladins geming INT. on all gear with reforging lot of mastery to haste!!)

How much Spirit and Mastery should we go with that Haste build?

This is more of a discussion thread on what people are doing and how logs are stacking up. If you want advice post to the Fixmyheals or the guide.

Did Thok, Siegecrafter and Paragons yesterday with 7170 haste, then rest to mastery (30% unbuffed) and 13k spirit. Still using heroic 4pc and couple 561 pieces (overall 545 ilvl)
We were able to go to ~22 stacks of acceleration on thok with pala/druid/disc comp, aura mastery/bop/bubble prevent interrupts by screech and holy avenger is just great for getting fat EFs on people to prolong the normal phase.
Siegecrafter was overall a pretty easy encounter (we lost 6 attempts out of 10 total to our Assembly line people taking random fall damage when landing), with huge spikes of damage (due to overload on raid and protective frenzy on tanks), so I just blanketed the raid with EF and held beacon on Siegecrafer tank. On that fight I had mastery as my top heal (32%) followed by EF and beacon at 15% each
We did some long pulls on paragons, but I was dpsing on that one.

Overall, paladin feels very very strong and I am looking forward to getting my 2pc (wont happen for a long time in out 10m). I could possibly drop another 1k spirit comfortably and I want to try out gemming int instead of mastery.
