Are the trinket rankings that Totalchai posted still accurate?

I've heard from some people that Thok's is better than TeD if you have BiS everything else.

Pretty much at like 575> or so ilvl Thok's Tail Tip would beat out Ticking Ebon Detonator by a fairly large gap. Remember that Totaltemic originally calculated most of this stuff at 553 average ilvl but at this point if you're 3 months into the expansion and have been clearing raid lockouts every week you should be at least at 570 unless you're incredibly unlucky.

Thok's is good, but as most have said, you should always let STR users take it first, as it's a really good for them. Thok's is really only BiS for WWers because the two "main" trinkets are AoC and Haromms for agi users, but since AoC is garbage for us, we consider TTT a considerable gain over it.

AoC is OK if it's 8-10 ilvls above your other trinket as the agi proc is just too strong to ignore and the reduced EB cooldown is nice even if you can't use FoF. His guide is still definitely accurate if you are sitting at 560 or so. If you can break the 570 barrier and somehow manage to get a tail tip, I would, as even though it may not be wholesomely beneficial to you at that point in time, it only gets better with gear as most other trinkets don't scale.

It's still accurate but the position of Thok's is still somewhat nebulous. It's certainly not as good as Haromm's, and it's better than AoC, but whether or not it's better than TED depends heavily on how good you are at using TEB during trinket procs (getting worse the better you capitalize on those because Thok's proc is, well, not even Agi), how much residual mastery is on your gear that you can't get rid of (Thok's gets worse if you have too much mastery laying around instead of being crit), and your overall crit chance. It can be better than TED, but it can also be worse, your mileage may vary.

However the fact that you can't coin out a Thok's kind of makes it unlikely for most people anyways as all strength tanks and strength DPS want Thok's too.

In the end though, Thok's will never be a considerable (more than 2%) gain or loss compared to TED, so it's not exactly the most important thing in the world.
