    first time pc builder

    hey guys,
ive had my old reliable pc for about 10 years now and decided its time for an upgrade and noticed how its so much better for value and more fun just to build your own. my knowledge on pc components is quite shallow so i used alot of forum posts and youtube videos to come up with this list, would anyone mind taking a look and giving their opinions on it like compatibility, im kind of unsure about the power supply i chose, any info on that is greatly appreciated as well.
    thank you.

Ola, build looks pretty good, still some tweaking can be made to lower cost for no performance cost.
This ofcourse requires that you buy your parts from different places rather than from a single web store.

Added the 4670K instead of 3570K (5-8 % better performance)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£167.99 @ Aria PC)
    Motherboard: Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£101.98 @ Dabs)
    Memory: GeIL Enhance CORSA 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£61.38 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£43.94 @ CCL Computers)
    Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card (£194.11 @ Scan.co.uk)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case (£76.99 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Be Quiet 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£47.94 @ Aria PC)

I'd be getting more ... as somebody who has built one rig... I was told to aim for at least 750 and preferably 1000

just what the gfx cards use on their own is enough to make you realise all the bits in the rig add up

A 750 on up is not needed for the build suggested. 500 is plenty for it.

a gtx 760 could well require more than the bare minimum .. whenever people put in a decent gfx card they had better make sure they get enough power for it. searching for minimum rec for that sort of model and I doubt 500w , added to everything else would be enough to last

BQ 500w is MORE than enough for a single 760 mate.
It barely pulls 340 w out of the wall with a 3960x which pulls almost 90w more than the 4670k.
