It's not "Pay to win" if all you're doing is skipping outdated content.

  2. #102
Good to see I spend my money on an expansion which was involved around rehashed zones and a "new leveling experience" and now it will be obsolete...

  3. #103
Well, I'm kinda happy that professions should be even faster to level now xD

Clap! Clap! Clap! Way to go blizzard. So not only do you allow people to puchase level boosts from 1 to 90 but you totally screw over people who have already made an effort to level a toon. Leveling professions is a joke and its very sad that they would think that they could justify the cost of making people who pay to boost a lvl 1 to 90 x ammount and then charge people who want to boost from lvl 60,70,80 etc.. to 90 the same ammount and think they are making it worth our while by throwing in a leveled profession. I'm sorry that is a horrible model for the consumer. Take your instant lvl 90 boost cost and divide it by 90 and charge users per level. So I only need 5 or 10 more levels to go and I dont want to grind them out I can pay per level. Having to pay the same cost as a 1 to 90 boost is horrible. Please fix this!!

I'll assume the veteran bonus will either be how long that specific character has been around (i.e. made him in vanilla got them to 60 then stopped playing them) or how long the players account has been active.

Either way both are ok to me, I'm just curious what perks they give.

While Bob plays at least 5 hours every day.

John cannot buy a level 90, John must grind all low level content for weeks until he finally reaches level 100, meanwhile... Bob already has multiple level 90's and 100's with barely any effort.
I'm just seeing a tantrum here ... firstly "Bob is rich" Doesn't matter, it would be his money to do with as he pleases. Be it on a game or not, Secondly "John has barely enough money for his subscription" means John shouldn't even be playing the game if he is that poor. When you are so tight for money you can barely afford the game or need someone else to pay for you, means you shouldn't even have a subscription.

Another thing wrong with your tirade here, even if you play at least a dedicated 2 hours a day without heirlooms leveling is not that hard. Getting to max level should not take "weeks" unless you aren't trying or do not care enough to reach max level as quickly as possible. Just because someone "Buys" a level 90 doesn't mean they instantly win the game. Far from it, it just means they don't have to level through the same content they have seen numerous times before. It also means they will wear down the new content even faster.

People who love to level, will likely not buy a 90, those who hate leveling, care only for end game content, want to play with their friends, etc are the ones who will likely use this feature and it is their right to do so. You people whine too much about things like this. Yes I understand it frustrates you and those who feel like you but whining, complaining, shouting, stamping your feet, ranting and throwing childish tantrums on this forum or any other is not going to do you a damn bit of good.

Majority wins and "voting" with your money about "not wanting a feature?" Not going to do you a bit of good. For every person that quits because the shop added new stuff, just gives Blizzard more of a reason to add even more stuff to the store to make up for the loss of subscriptions. Its a lovely vicious cycle that isn't going to stop anytime soon.

    I disagree. I'd much rather transfer a character than lose it's professions/money/loot.

Crying? Hahahahahaha... oh my, that's funny.

No. I've got a right to voice my opinion just like everyone else, whether that be positive or negative. I'm just an extremely disappointed customer who paid for all the expansions + monthly sub, and yet Blizzard still manages to pull shit like this through while the "Shop" buttons that are in-game are just screaming at you to buy their stuff. Ah, the shop buttons. That's another matter that I shall not go into now.

    How original. /clap
I love how you say everyone has a right to voice their opinion, yet in your original post you insult anyone who has a differing opinion than your own.

Personally, I don't care what anyone else does. I don't play this game to compete with others on who has the most 90s. I've already leveled 13 characters to max (never had the money to server transfer) so when my friends/guild/etc would switch servers I'd just level up a new one. So I've got multiple of the same class at max level and frankly never want to level again. This new system is great for me now that I have a decent amount of disposable income. It gives next to no advantage for raiding/pvp (other than giving you more options, but almost any class is as viable as any other for doing max level content).

You don't like it? That's fine. I don't see any problem with it. It doesn't fall into my belief of pay2win.

Yes we should. So borded people who only play for loot instead of enjoying the content will buy their set, see how bored they now are and leave for good.

Skiping shity leveling is fine if you don't like it. Skiping the real content is dumb (just stop playing this game).

The irony in that DL comic. Pure gold.

Yes, I like it now where i am the only one in my guild with a lvl 90.

Are you people really that bad at this game that you think getting to lvl 90 is anything special? I have 11 90s and still think it is meaningless.

The comic is awesome. Want more of it.

Yes, it matters a whole lot. If they do this they NEED, repeat: NEED, to make everyone start at 55 and not this 1 crap. Start at 55 or 60 and be done with it, starting at 1 does nothing but turn people away from the game, and start at 55-60 would retain many more people. Leveling blows as-is. And if this hits, what's stopping them from selling gear? it takes too long to farm the gear, so why not just buy it?

  16. #116
buy a 90 who cares. that 90 isn't going to be in your raiding group. let them lfr.... thats what lfr is for anyways. not sure why this is an issue........

    probably.

it's funny how they made stuff so much of a grind early on, and didnt want to make new dungeons cause it would "invalidate the gearing process", and then all of a sudden there is an isle where loot rains from the sky.

in any case, if everyone buys a 90 we're going to see even worse LFRs in the future. it's bad enough already with people queuing up in ungemmed/unenchanted isle gear, now we have that plus people who dont even know their class. :/

I imagine they did that because it's nearing the end of the expansion and they want people to be able to experience all the content. If I remember correctly in past expansions once the new expansion had hit beta they would begin decreasing the difficulty of all the raids, so this is a different method to the same result.

Sure you might get some people who don't know their class in LFR, but I think it's wrong to assume that they will automatically be bad. Keep in mind that people are still going to have to level these characters up to level 100. On top of that there is nothing that distinguishes a bad player with a free 90 and a bad player that leveled their character to 90. If they are the type of person who is going to be a good/useful raider they will have those atributes regardless of how they got their character. I have a friend that thought it was fun to level a warlock with almost nothing but drain life. He's a great player, Once he got to 90 he looked carefully at the spells, did some reading and research and did just fine in raids. People are making this far too black and white.

  19. #119
This will just make people required to link achieves. If you have no history of raiding previously then get out of my guild, don't expect a raid invite or rbgs. Bring on the level 90 insta boosts and watch the division begin.

The reasons I want to quit this game; Paid services - name change, server transfer, faction change, paid level 90 etc.
The reasons why I stay in this game; gameplay, but above all - the social relations I made during TBC.

I guess blizzard has this figured out long time ago...

I used to associate the Blizzard logo with good things... now, somehow, in the years gone by, I associate it with bad things... time will tell, if it will do Blizzard good or bad.
