Since we do not have high level scenarios anymore. Will they add new 5 mans?

Hey,

the argument against adding new 5 mans during MoP was that (heroic) scenarios were a replacement and took a lot of time to make. Afaik that was the stance from Blizzard at the time.

So, what will the excuse be now? Not enough people are interested in 5 mans? Might have something to do with terrible designing of content that has always been relevant since TBC.

They have said that they are planning on it, no specifics yet but they're probably coming.
Would expect them with the next raid tier.

In all seriousness, the issue with adding new dungeons is CMs. Would they add the new dungeons to CM achievements? Would they make the people who got their CM achievements do the new dungeons? I figured this was the reason they didn't add new dungeons in MoP.

What do you mean? They've added post-launch dungeons before without it affecting launch achievements like Dungeon Hero and stuff.

I would not get my hopes up on new 5 mans. If anything, I expect they'll be considering pushing that Timewalker content that they were talking about.

Would think if you look back at Cata you could treat new dungeons as effectively new CM "seasons". If they brought out new dungeons with the next tier I would expect the dungeons themselves would be a completely different ballgame to the "vanilla" ones for that xpac (see Zuls vs Original Cata vs Crappy-End-Time-Things) and would probably need a different ilevel of gear to be converted into challenge modes.

Could imagine them adding another tier of 3/4 complex dungeons which set you to a different iLevel and provide an armorset from a new gold achievement to go with the gold weapons from the original WoD set.
