Actually its not silly at all. Anyone with half a brain working minimum wage should damn well be complaining. The cost of living vs. the minimum wage is absolutely rediculous. Your comment makes no sense, you are ignorant. You think people who are struggling to find work, who accept a job at rock bottom, don't want more?? If labour unions still had any power fast food workers and gas stations attendants nationwide would walk out and refuse to work until the minimum wage was raised to 15.00 an hour. The bare minimum it takes to do anything besides feed, clothe oneself and afford rent.

if the American government really wanted to create jobs for its people,they would just bring the millions of American jobs back from over seas.thats not going to happen because our government is on the take $ and its there way to beat Unions.where i live,there use to be 15 paper mills in the area,only 1 is left.where have they all gone to?=over seas.they were high paying jobs,you had people working there that scrubbed toilets to plant managers that made big $.guess what these people are doing now?thats right working at walmart and the like.

what to fix this mess?go after the government and make them change/stop what they are doing.

a small example-soda at a fast food joint,well it has a 1000 times mark up.straight up rip off and they pay there people like shit.they could give there workers better pay without having to raise the prices of the food.that goes for servers as well,how they can get less then min should be a crime.

I love the part where he said that minimum wages would make it harder for less skilled workers to find work because it would blur certain skill levels together, thus increasing the pool of workers by which employers could choose from, thus decreasing the jobs available to the less skilled...

So let's just say, there's 2 skill levels, A and B.

If your work force looks something like this A A A B B B, And company A hires All the A employees, and company B hires all the B employees, (The A skill is higher btw) then if the minimum wage means A and B employees get paid the same, company B could then hire all of the A employees, leaving the B employees unable to find work.

Who forced me to take this job? The economy and the lack of jobs that I could apply for! That's who! All those fucking asshole employees who demand experience before I can gain experience locked me out of at least HALF the jobs I could have applied for, bullshit retail jobs or customer service jobs anyone can do, but they 'want experience." And of the other half? Maybe 3 of them followed up for an interview.

well lets see, Ive been applying to full time jobs for over a year, and got nowhere. I will be needing to take a part time job at liek Starbucks because of this while I go back to grad school so that i CAN get a full time job.

I wasnt forced technically, but there arent any other options out there that dont involve spending a crapton more money.

The guy on the video sounds pretty young, so I'm going to guess this is what happened.

His father was watching Fox News, and some fox business analyst was raging about how minimum wage is bad.
Then the kid's father was like: "Oh my god, those socialists are destroying america."
And then the kid was like: "Wow, maybe there's something to this..." and then he went to his crappy job, where he doesn't get paid very well even though he works his ass off.
And the fat cat owner was all like "Sorry gaize, I know I treat you like shit, but I'd gladly pay you more, if the government wasn't forcing me to pay you so much."
And then the kid was like "OH MY GOD I HAVE TO GO MAKE A YOUTUBE VIDEO FULL OF VAGUE REFERENCES TO A BUNCH OF STUFF THAT WAS TALKED ABOUT IN MY ECONOMICS CLASS SO THAT ALL THESE RECKLESS PEOPLE DON'T RUIN AMERICA WITH THEIR SOCIALISM."
