On my Mac keyboard I can press S + D + 1 but I can't press S + D + 2
I bind an ability to 2 but when I run sidewards (S + D), it won't let me press 2 anymore. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
would be awesome!

Sounds like a ghosting issue. Most "normal" keyboards have limitations on simultaneous button presses. Higher-end keyboards allow more buttons to be pressed and some "gaming" keyboards will allow the whole WASD area to be pressed at the same time.
Most serious gamers use mechanical keyboards, partly to bypass this issue altogether and partly because they just feel nicer and improve gameplay.
Is it a Macbook of some kind?

You're probably SOL then. Most laptops of any kind have a limit of 2-3 keypresses.
