Question about Terrace LFR / legendary quest

If I hearth out of Terrace LFR just before Sha of Fear is killed (edit: during the fight, but at the very end of it) and then port back in, would I still be able to loot the Chimera of Fear off him while staying at 0 VP for the week?

I'm guessing not

You can't port in, while combat is in progress..
You can't loot a boss, if you are not present when it's killed..
