What is similiar or the same as the Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970?

A while back maybe 3-4 months I decided on a PC build. The GPU was supposed to be the Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970. I can't find it online any where now. Or maybe the name just changed on it. Any recommendations on a similiar card or what its name changed too?

I might be being picky as well with this last part, but I really like AMD cards and from what I've read Gigabyte has really quiet cards which is what I'm possibly looking for.

And my current build is http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Tokogon/saved/1hZi

I've already ordered many of the parts so its kind of too late to change anything but the GPU at this point.

7970 has been replaced by 280x
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

Some questionable picks with the old IvyBridge CPU, Z77 motherboard, I'd return it for an i5-4670k+Z87 combo. An 840 EVO SSD would also be just fine.

    The equivalent of 7970 is R9 280X.

a few comparisons of fan noise

Unfortunately they're usually all out of stock (or overly expensive) but can be preordered but I'm not certain how long it takes for you to get it.

I have this Asus TOP edition can and can highly recommend it:

    Asus Radeon R9 280X

    These are good too:

    Sapphire R9 280X Toxic
    MSI R9 280X GAMING

My room mate has an i7-3770k that he has been sitting on for a while that he is going to sell to me for $200 should I not buy this and get the i5 instead? Its still new and in the box. He also says if it doesn't work he won't charge me.
