Pushback: remove it from the game!

I find it annoying in PVP because it ruins actions and your haste.

Pushback doesn't need to exist actually, in a system already full of interrupts, silences, and various CCs.

YOU JUST CAN'T CAST! And I want to be free!

It was infinitely worse before they changed it so only the first 2 hits cause pushback.

in the olden days we had a proper pushback to the point where you couldn't actually finish casting.

You have it easy these days.

I started playing during wotlk. Pushback was harder BUT there were no 100000 interrupts.

Yes there was, just because it wasn’t used don’t mean it wasn’t there.

there "might" be more interupts now, yet the interupts had a shorter cd then for most classes. but yeah, i can see why pushback should be removed...

but, also remove cast while moving when your doing that... On some fights it might make melee more favourable again then it is now... (yeah im a pve hero... sue me ' and a caster dps for that matter )

Oh god, I had completely forgotten about that. Bad memories returning of forever casting a flash heal while two or more melee pummeled me to death. :<

That said, pushback seems fine. It's annoying, yes, but it does give melee a deserved advantage when they're up close and personal with you. Casters shouldn't be the equal of melee when they're in close-quarter combat.

Casting while moving is limited to either a cooldown or limited numbers of spells.
Melee have that capability all the time with most of their toolkit.
Should melee have this inherent and passive advantage in addition to hard interrupts? Not in my opinion.
I don't think there should be pushback in PvP.

Considering the overabundance of interrupts, charge, stun and whatnot, I wouldn't be surprised if pushback was removed at some point.

Your ability to cast won't be greatly affected by removing pushback.
They do, however, plan on removing some of the various CC which is the cause of most of your problems.

Not sure why, it has a place in the game and does not greatly affect the outcome of a fight (ie, it's not broken.)

Spellcast pushback seriously doesn't have a place anymore in WoW unless they remove some interrupts/spell cancelling effects from the game. It's actually so freaking hard to cast now, especially vs let's say warrior/enha shams/dks/hunters.

I remember trying to cast a poly while being eaten by a hunter's cat in 2006. It took 8.5 seconds, but I could not finish, I died
Pushback was RETARDED back then, now it's just annoying and yeah, it should have never been in the game.

    Exactly this.
It also serves no purpose in pve either.

I don't think pushback serves any good purpose in the game, particularly because different casting classes are so differently affected (or unaffected) by it.

I would like to see it gone.

As melee I don't mind losing "advantage" of hitting while moving... as soon as melee range being increased to 40 yards.

    you have it so easy.
you never had to face a mace hemo rogue.
you never had to experience the rogue interrupting your casts just by attacking you.
you never had to experience the rogue's random stuns from their weapons that had a different DR than his regular stuns.
    you have it so easy.

Except now we have warriors with 2 interrupts, a spell reflect, a charge and 2 stuns. We also have DKs with double grip and 2 stuns as well as enhancement shamans and hunters with infinite spellcast pushbacks.

Ye, we have it so easy...
