constructive threads

so every thread on mmo champ must be "constructive" or else it will be locked? why can't threads with an interesting topic and discussion stay open even if it isn't "constructive"?

It's in the rules. Make constructive posts.

As a member of the forum, you are required to abide by those rules.

From what I've seen on these forums, "constructive" pretty much just means don't be completely dismissive of other people's posts or directly insult the poster.

Constructive posts are anything that further discussion in a positive, meaningful way.

Non-constructive posts could be anything from flaming, to trolling, to offtopic conversation, to pointless points more suited to a personal blog.

The entirely point of a message board is so people can have productive dialogue, which is why this rule is in place.

You have made a thread with an interesting topic? When was that? All I usually see is repetitive threads like your "is it ok for a __ year old man to date a __ year old woman". You just change the ages so you don't get infracted for repeat threads.
