horror movie

k so ive been trying to find a certain movie for ages and decided to try the forum

i think its hp lovecraft related but ive checked multiple sites for lovecraft movies and no luck ive also tried putting all i remember into google and no luck either

all i remember is it starts with a river full of body parts that followed the current from a big house/mansion, i remember at some point theres a cave or underground cellar or something with pits full of failed reanimation experiments

i think it was either black & white or just old.. or made to look so

nop as i said ive checked most of the lovecraft films and its none of the obvious ones like dunwich or reanimator

i kinda remember the river scene to have a bunch of people in colonial outfits who discover the parts in the river but i cant remember why they were at the river wether its becuase they were hunting or what..

the colonial outfits is what makes me think its old as it acts like a flashback to the colonial era then switches to the present day (maybe?) where the story continue's

I'm at a loss, I've just spent 40 mins trying to figure it out. Normally Im pretty good with this stuff.
