Moving to Windows 7, can I still slave my win xp?

I'm moving form Windows 7 to Windows XP. Can I set up my old Win XP hard drive as a slave while using a new hard drive for my Win 7 install or are there some sort of limitations with this?

    TIA

Only if your old hard drive is IDE and your mobo doesn't have a connector for it.

Yes you can, you just want to be sure to remove the boot files from your WinXP disk. They are several files in the root of the drive (they are usually hidden) boot.ini, ntldr, and . The other files can remain, although program files and such should be reinstalled properly on the new operating system.

Also doing it depends on the type of hard drives in your computer... If they are SATA, you don't need to do anything other than the above. If they are IDE (or the winxp disk is IDE) you may need to set the jumpers correctly so you don't get an error on boot.
