Preferred solo leveling spec?

Looking to level with mostly questing and minimal dungeons. Is a blood spec with dps heirlooms ideal? Or should I be going frost?

Diseases are useful for soloing instances and the occasional group quest (owing to the -10% damage debuff).


Use Blood Boil for single-target DPS, not Heart Strike.

yeah blood is the best option, it's actually harder to die as blood while leveling than it is to kill anything in your way.

I don't think people are reading what you typed. If you have heirlooms and you just want to quest, frost or unholy is fine for leveling. Blood is mainly used for soloing old raids. It's good for tougher mobs, but quest mobs are generally a joke. Go dps and blast through them.

Rather, scaling is broken. As is for stuff like: Shield Slam, Keg Smash, Avenger's Shield, Penance, Chi Cocoon(MW Monk bubble thingy), Pw: Shield and a few others I forgot off the top of my head. Guardian Druids are the only tanks that don't have a broken ability while leveling.

I'd use frost tho, then you always have 2 death runs up and don't have to death strike to get them (and the runes might disepear between pulls)

Death Siphon is broken across all three specs (even more so for Unholy).

what i noticed around 60 is that it Death siphon still one shots as frost and i like to be able to instantly do 2 of those xD
