    Need help with Weakauras 3 in 1 cooldown strings

    A while ago I tried to make a weakaura for ability cooldowns thats shows duration when buff is active and when it expires it switches to the ability cooldown left, then when that's done it shows an ability usable icon. Problem is at best I managed to do it with 2 separate strings, one for the aura and one for the ability cd/active strings.

    My question is if its possible to do this in one aura since I want to use it for dynamic groups.

    P.S. Don't suggest TMW.

    The answer to your question: Yes, it is possible to do it in one aura.

    Duration info is passed in from the 1st trigger. Thus you can only achieve this in one weakaura if you have a custom coded trigger.

    If two is too much for you, I (or somebody else here) could make a custom trigger for you. But we'd need to know the ability

    Recklessness for example, but I can adapt it afterwards for other auras I'll be using.

    Thank you, amazing how you made it so simple. Only question I have though is how can I make it work for non-spellbook events like synapse springs, potion, healthstone etc? The aura works but not the cooldown.

    Oh, it's not as simple. I realize some spells might have different names for the ability and the buff, too.

    Thanks a lot for the work. This is pretty much what I wanted to do with WA since the start wish it was easier to do by default.

    Is it possible to remove the ~0.1 second delay in between the buff duration WA and cooldown duration WA transition? The icon completely disappears for a split second. Something like having the CD icon show during the last 0.1 second of the buff's duration.

    WA framework is not that flexible. You'd have to change it to update on every frame (will drop your FPS but you may not care) and remove the event info from the trigger code...

    Not with the standard Weakauras API. You'd have to either create a desaturated version of the icon on your own, or "hack" into the icon from the trigger (not actually hacking). I don't know how to do that; somebody else might, though.

    If you want to differentiate the buff from the CD, the easiest thing is to switch it to a Progress Bar or Progress Texture. It will fill up for one and drain out for the other. For some reason Weakauras doesn't provide that functionality for Icon types.
