Folly and fakery have always been with us... but it has never before been as dangerous as it is now, never in history have we been able to afford it less. - Isaac Asimov
Every damn thing you do in this life, you pay for. - Edith Piaf
The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. - Orwell
No amount of belief makes something a fact. - James Randi
I have nothing against what Rich said... he is simply and utterly; "bloody" confusing.

I hate Nazism and Fascism ... but to be honest, using a political ideology as an insult is sort of ridiculous*.
*Note, I may be guilty of doing the same and just not remember it. I am also not obligated in not doing so in the future.
the original thread stated "if germany and japan won the war, who would would win in another world war"
not complicated.

You do realize that Stalinism isn't the only form of Communism, don't you?
There's Leninism, Maoism*, Trotskyism, Marxism, ect. I believe in private property, just as many of the founders of the other popular Communist ideologies that I listed did.
*I do not support Maoism in any way, shape or form.
And here I click on this thread hoping it was actually about Axis & Allies.
"In today’s America, conservatives who actually want to conserve are as rare as liberals who actually want to liberate. The once-significant language of an earlier era has had the meaning sucked right out of it, the better to serve as camouflage for a kleptocratic feeding frenzy in which both establishment parties participate with equal abandon" (Taking a break from the criminal, incompetent liars at the NSA, to bring you the above political observation, from The Archdruid Report.)
If you go by pre-WWII political definitions, the Democratic Party of the United States positions are close to those originally embraced National Socialists (before they were completely taken over by racist insanity wearing a Charlie Chaplin mustache), or at least their party platform and public rhetoric is. And the Republican party's stated ideology is more like that of the classical 'Liberals' - populist pro-business. (In practice, both U.S. parties support an oligarchic corporatist managed democracy.)
By the modern era, all those old highly nuanced definitions have basically disappeared into an angry morass. Fascist, Nazi, Communist, Socialist, Liberal, Conservative, Terrorist... all the really 'mean' is "we don't like you".

What was the thread about? Specifically?
That's why USSR failed at Communism, Socialism leads to totalitarianism and Socialism is "first step" on the way to Communism. Unless people will start thinking about work as their hobby (not working to get money to live, but live to work and enjoy your life with job that you like), Communism will not work.
Really, many peoples goal in life: work less and get more money.
He was an evader and his posts were removed, which included that thread.
You can start the thread again, if you wish.
