Getting lagspikes and at the exact moment, CPU usage rises 10-20%

I've started to have lagspikes now out of nowhere. It doesn't matter if i am playing a game or browsing internet, it always affects me. It happens after about 1h if i start up my PC and it always gets solved temporarily, but starts again after 1h ish.

Ive new drivers of course and no heat issues at all.

One thing that is vital, and i just cant figure it out, is that at the exact moment as i lag for 1 sek ish, my CPU usage goes up 10-205 on 1-2 cores, sometimes even 40%. Of course something is wrong, but what?

    thanks

ive had my clocks stable on both cpu and gpu for 2 years

virus scan your stuff with malware bytes. It could very well be a malicious program running in the background piecing itself together slowly a little each hour.

I had a very similar issue recently that, while no fix was found.. seemed to have fixed itself. I simply don't have the problem anymore (It only lasted a day or so). I'll do some more research in the meantime.

Checked Timer Resolution, Chazus? Could be fluctuating due to a program fault. It's a long shot, but worth eliminating - we know from experience that Timer Resolution has caused problems in the past.
