Leaked video from the DD s2 footage they showed. Start watching at 1:20. The
sound quality is rather poor. We get very brief shots of Punisher and Elektra.

Also, the first episode of Jessica Jones was shown in full to the attendees. Reactions
are positive. Many are saying it's darker than DD was. From the panel, we also
learned that Carrie-Anne Moss is playing a gender-swapped Jeryn Hogarth, notable as
an employee (attorney) of the Rand corporation. So that's quite the tie-in for Iron Fist.

Yeah but then how do you explain why he wasn't in Age of Ultron, or hell, Winter Soldier, the entire movie was built around Shield and we didn't even get a damn cameo from Coulson.
If I were Marvel, now that Whedons jumped ship (because lets not bullshit about it, Agents of Shield was Whedons baby), can AoS, start an inhumans TV show, and just go from there.
I've never been a huge fan of AoS anyway, never thought it was up the quality that I expected from Marvel, and now that DD and Agent Carter are steaming on ahead quality wise, AoS is just left in this odd place where it isn't up to par with the rest of Marvels stuff, and none of the film side of things want anything to do with it, whereas I can easily see DD, the Punisher, or even the entire Defenders making a cameo in a movie or 2.
Also, Jessica Jones can't come soon enough, I thought it was probably going to the weakest of the Defenders shows, but it looks to be one of the best now, "Darker than Daredevil"? Yes please.
Well that's why I initially just said they should have handwaved it with "it's a long story." Maybe make some fourth wall leaning comment about how you clearly haven't been watching SHIELD...'s actions closely. I mean this is a shared universe for a reason right. There's a story behind Coulson, if an audience member really wants to know what's going on with that they can watch SHIELD. If not they can just get the gist that he's back and there's a broader explanation out there somewhere and meanwhile get caught up with the plot of Age of Ultron.

Well SHIELD had a huge tie in with Winter Soldier so his lack of presence there is hardly a plot hole. He (and the other SHIELD members) had reasons why they couldn't directly assist Cap, which is more than can be said for most of these films and why characters aren't helping each other out.
I agree though, that the best route would be to can Agents of SHIELD and start up a successor show of sorts about the Inhumans. Call it Nuhumans, put it on Netflix. The Netflix shows have/are looking to have really good production values, whereas the bits I've seen of SHIELD really haven't. I don't know if that's because of Marvel having more faith in Daredevil than original characters, or ABC not being willing to invest as much as Netflix is. But TV is dying anyway so Netflix seems to be where it's at.
Pretty much, if Coulson shows up in a movie again he should just say something like "I got better. It's a long story". If someone who never watches agents of shield wants to know how he's back, they could even just look up a summary online.
They definitely shouldn't spout a bunch of exposition about the whole thing in a movie where it's otherwise not relevant.
Some of the newspaper clippings from the mock-up office at comic con:
Wil Traval seems to be playing Nuke, albeit retooled for the show. Will be interesting
to see if he actually has that tattoo...

Deisel on whether or not he'll play another Marvel role:

rule one, never trust bleeding cool unless they stole it from someone else. theyre wrong all the time, the handful of times theyve been right can be attributed to a broken clock being right once in awhile.
as for the tv stuff, it really only affects aos if there ever is a rift since carter and the netflix stuff are being handeled by fiege (which is why weve heard talking of the defenders being in infinity war but nothing about shield)
from what i know, fiege likes coulson, but hes not fond of aos. it was his idea to bring coulson back, but agents of shield has been improving so to be honest it might not be too long before we see shield show up in the mcu in cameo atleast.
you also have to realize, movies are planned out multiple years ahead, tv shows are done every year and writers come in and out changing tones and characters.
its easy to make a tv show weave around the movies its damn near impossible to do that with the movies, if they want someone to show up in the movies they effectively have to spend extra time making sure whatever it is they want to do in the movies will match whatever the hell the tv show is doing 3 years down the line (if its even around by then how fickle shows are) all agents of shield have to do is throw in a line about metal men or hydra and boom its fine.
the netflix shows will be much easier as their street level low key heroes. it doesnt really matter what daredevil is doing by infinity war odds are he will still be daredevil doing daredevily stuff and really other than daredevil the only other person in that show they have to keep tabs on is elektra MAYBE, (and maybe punisher if he doesnt get his own show)
all they need is daredevil and elektra beating down some aliems while punisher snipes as backup. whatever their personal lives are up to is largely irrelevant as long as they stay heroes

im gonna be honest, viewers dont need an explanation. agents of shield is on abc, something like what 90 something percent of people with a tv get abc, if someone doesnt know coulson is alive then they must not own a tv, in which case they must be on the internet so its their own fault they havent heard about coulson being around.
and as they add more and more avengers while having older members leave the team his showing up will be less and less of an issue.
if coulson came back in infinity war half the avengers wouldnt even know who he is if they keep on the track they are. unless they go and make coulson a principal in the cartoons

Good review of the first episode of Jessica Jones.
http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/62...etime#/slide/1And that’s all I’ll say about the show for now, although I have a feeling that like “Daredevil,” few people will just be able to watch just one or two episodes and I will be shocked if Ritter doesn’t score an Emmy nomination… and that’s just from the episode I saw!
If not a new character then whom? Mr. Sinister, says Cranston.

Unfortunately, given Sinister's story, I assume Fox has rights to him...
While I think AoS has improved, it still seems to be clinging to some early mistakes (like, Ward...) and I have given up on it completely now. In any case, while quality may be increasing, from what I heard (didn't look up numbers), the ratings are even worse so far this year and getting lower.
"I only feel two things Gary, nothing, and nothingness."
Whenever I talk to someone about Agents of Shield I always hear the same line "I only watch it because its Marvel", and that says everything really.
I like it, but if I had to admit a truth it would be that I'm still haven't even finished season 2 yet. It's all there on Netflix, yet I don't devote time to watch it. Yet I watch TWD and Doctor Who as soon as they air, so...I guess that's saying something I'm not even willing to admit.
BAD WOLF
I've enjoyed AoS from the beginning, and I'd probably still watch it even if it weren't part of the MCU.
You're not allowed to discuss conspiracy theories on mmo-champion, which makes me wonder what they're trying to hide.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt, since they changed Skye so much for season2, added some new folks, gave Fitz some interesting stuff, so I watched through the end of season2. I just find Simmons and Ward wooden, unlikable roles/actors that detract from everything around them and the show seems unwilling to really change cast. They'll completely change a character one of the cast is playing, but won't just get rid of someone it seems. The show never seemed to deliver on the original promise and has been rebooted around movies in ways that I don't even think fit the movies. But I've already said everything before in the AoS thread so I won't clutter this up.
I have high hopes for Jessica Jones, even though the advertising hasn't done anything for me at all.

Skye is infinitely better than she was in Season 1. Ward is much better too (tho he's no Malcolm Merlyn).
