I've been playing the same hunter since classic and it has always been a lot of fun.
Pros:
They are very easy to pick up but take some time to master.
Survival and Beast Mastery are holding high parses ranks in SoO 10 and 25 normal.
Soloing is a breeze.
Pets have become very easy to manage, and need minimal attention.
Lots of CC's and utility to choose from.
Cons:
Were still fairly common.
Issues with button bloating.
We still have to deal with a lot of stigma(as reebles useless post shows).
I would recommend it for those that are looking for a fun class to try out. Being average is fairly easy as well, but to be a really good hunter takes time.
Like the above posts say, it's not too difficult to get decent at hunter, but due to button bloat on hunters to be able to utilize it all properly will take a bit more skill. It usually comes into play when soloing old content more than raiding right now though.
If you're fine with a decent amount of keybinds to use, then go for it they're not difficult.
Every class is easy to play at a top level once you have some experience, it's how you adapt to the fights which show how good you really are. I.e. it's easy to faceroll Iron Juggernaught, but how do you cope on Protectors?
