Why my video cuts out?

I was wondering if anyone here may be able to help figure out or explain why my video suddenly cuts out when I'm playing Smite. What happens is my monitor will go black like it was turned off then it will say "signal not available". It only happens when I'm playing Smite but no other games. I also play WoW and D3.

My video settings in Smite are:
Full screen
Texture Detail - High
Shadow Detail - Medium
Particle Detail - Medium
World Detail - Medium
Resolution - 1280x768

Effects:
Vertical Sync - off
Ragdoll Physics - on

Gamma - 2.2

Sounds like it could possibly have something to do with power settings?
If you alt tab when the monitor goes off, does it come back on again?

I don't know next time it happens I will try that and see what happens.
