Help with my TV

Not exactly a computer question, but whatever!

So I bought a pretty cheap Samsung 46" full HD and 3D tv.
It does not have Smart TV / Smart Hub, which doesn't bother me at all, but it made me wonder;

If I bought a Samsung Blu-ray machine with Smart Hub built in, would that turn my TV into a "Smart TV"?

Basically, yes. Might not be able to do everything, but it would probably do what you want.

Got a old laptop or some? Use HDMI cable into that, and you get the same I guess, and more? Most laptops and TVs should have HDMI output.
