I've got a computer I built up a few years ago that was just meant for running WoW at a decent frame rate and pretty low end all around. I recently stripped it down to the case and power supply to rebuild it into something a little more modern. 99.9% of the time the computer will be used for gaming with titles ranging from classic strategy games to modern FPS games. I run a single monitor (20" 1600x900).
CPU:
I'm trying to decide between the AMD 6350 and the AMD 8320.
Is there any reason to spend the extra $20 for the 8 cores vs the 6 for gaming?
Mobo:
Looking at this one. Not sure about the differences beyond having the correct chip set (AM3+ in my case) and PCI slots and stuff so I'm all ears on suggestions.
RAM:
I was able to salvage my G.SKill 8GB of DDR3 ram from the old computer.
GPU:
Radeon R7 260x?
Seems to hold its own against current gen consoles for the same games, not sure what else I should be looking for.
Power supply:
I still have my 500 watt power supply from my previous build.
