Hey everyone
RIP VR porn games.
Soo you can can talk to your friends as if you were in person. No more need to sit back to back on a phone when you can do it in person with Oculus...

Honestly, I'm totally ready for the VR bubble to burst. I mean, we've no examples of broad commercial successes with VR yet to prove that there's a market. Instead, we have a measly $2.5M funded to the Rift on Kickstarter. Compare that with the Oyua, which raised $8.5M (over 3 times that of the Rift), and the fact that the Ouya is currently now just kinda...well...around.
I can't really see a scenario where the Rift, or Sony's VR headset, or any other VR headset sees the broad commercial success that justifies the kinds of investments that the technology is getting right now. Don't get me wrong, I love that companies are investing money into new and interesting technologies, I just don't see it being the giant influential force that the companies and media make it out to be. Maybe in another 10-15 years when technology is much improved (similar to the Virtual Boy -> modern tech), will we get VR headsets small enough, cheap enough, and with low enough latency to be commercially viable for games and other visual media. But for now? I can't see it as anything other than the niche market it's always been.
as long as I am not forced to log into Facebook to use the headset when it becomes commercially viable, then I don't have a problem. In fact I see this being a huge boost towards the development of the system. Considering what it has accomplished with $90ish million in funding so far, having $400 million in cash to invest into the system can only do it good.

Oculus Rift support confirmed for Candy Crush Saga?
As for the OR itself, good luck to them, it`s something new(ish), but I`ve not seen if it`s any good or not so will wait & see.
Just hope we don`t get even more youtubers that upload clips of the footage direct, it`s pointless lol
EDIT: Just realised when Boogie2988 tweeted, this must be pissing off a few folk that backed this project.
They threw some money at it to get it pushed through & then he just sells it to Mr.FB for a fortune.
Sure, he`d probably of made a chunk at some point, but this just seems off to me.
Seems others are dubious too: https://twitter.com/notch/status/448586381565390848 - Minecraft.

I just screamed "Fuck NOO!" at my screen ...
Jesus Christ. I need to make something so facebook can throw money at me.
what the fuck man
Well there goes the oculus down the drain.
Google has forced a lot of the services to have a g+ profile, a google account, a slow death, or a trip to limbo land. They gobble up patents and cannibalize the good parts and implement it into their own.
We can only hope Facebook isnt the same way, but all of their acquisitions so far show they are not.

Everything going in my mind just suddenly stopped as I browsed my usual sites. As I read it, I just stopped.
Then first things that came to my mind "Well... fuck".
I can see this being really bad. I'm already disappointed. Very much so.
