MMO similar to Heroes of Might and Magic

I remember playing an MMO that was exactly like Heroes of Might and Magic. You would travel in 3D and challange players in the arena with your champions. I found it really fun but I can't find this game anywhere. Can someone redirect me there please?

Hmm. I remember getting hooked on an old-school single-player whose abbreviation was MoM, that I always confused with HoMaM. Played it on a friend's computer, probably too late to get my own copy of it now. Can't remember the game's proper name, but I do remember gaining some awesome hero that just chewed everything in his way.

That would be Master of Magic, a truly great game There's a fan remake floating around somewhere

edit edit: also check out Elemental: War of Magic - same sort of thing but updated (although I didn't enjoy it as much and it ran pretty laggy for some reason)
