    Yes

For all intents and purposes, the flight forms are considered to be flying mounts so all modifiers apply.

Well you can learn flight form before learn flying so for example the "no_flying" modifier does seem to not apply, hence the question. Thanks for your answers.

Obtaining Swift Flight Form unlocks 280% flight speed. 310% still requires 5k pre-faction discount.

Eew it is other way around, you need 280% flight speed to purchaze swift flight form (for free)

You shouldn't need to do this unless this was changed this last month. We've been bugging one of our guild's Druid to get Swift Flight Form since he switched to it as his main and he just went to the Flight Master trainer and learned and 280% for free.

As someone that recently leveled a druid, that isn't how it works. You have to pay for the 280 flight, but the flight form is free.

It has always been that way. During TBC you could get flight form (slow) at level 68 (2 levels early) for about 2 gold. You learned the form and the flying was free. But to do the quest for swift flight form (involving killing anzu etc) you had to have purchased 280% speed from a flight master for the quest to even be available.

To get swift flight form you have to purchase 280% movement speed first, there is no other way.

Actually, when you hit 60 (I think?) and automatically learn flight form, you also automatically get the first level of flying.

They operate based on riding skill, yes, but they're not considered to be a flying mount. If they were they'd be part of the whole "flying mounts work anywhere ground mounts do," conversion they're doing.

Well ballocks. Guess the guy bought the better flying but just never bothered learning the new form.

58, but yes, that is the way it works.
