So my laptop's hard drive crapped out and its not under warranty anymore. I need some recommendations for new hard drives. The one I am replacing is 250gb.

How much can you spend? If you can do $120 than this 240 GB SSD would be great. An SSD will cause windows to boot in 15 seconds, and will make everything load really fast. One of the best upgrade parts I'd ever recommend. Plus it will fit in any future computers.
If you can't spend $100 I'm sure you can find a cheap normal harddrive, but an SSD is easily worth the money.
Even a 120gb SSD are $60-70 these days.
