Kid jumps in front of truck without looking-man stops to help, is beaten

The point I was making was simply that crime happens everywhere, it's just so much easier for people to point and say "Typical Detroit".

THis is not just some "Normal" crime. This man, through no fault of his own (As far as we can tell) hit a kid that jumped out in front of his car. When he got out to check on the kid/see what he could do, he was beaten for minutes on end, and robbed.

The oddness of that is what sticks out.

Yeah, it is frankly disgusting. It makes you not even want to help anyone anymore, who knows whats going to happen to you. People were coming out of the woodworks just to get a chance to beat on him some more O.o.

Interesting documentary on Detroit right now. I watched the entire thing with almost a morbid curiosity as to how this could happen. They even mention how Detroit is a punchline right now, which I guess is true since when I think "Detroit" I think "Third world hellhole"

Not to generalize any European countries, but given some headlines that have been pointed out to me in the past, I would almost say that the only thing that would surprise me is the fact that it's the Netherlands and not Sweden.

Suddenly ALMOST EVERYWHERE, IN almost all the countries in the world, being retarded, uneducated, prone to angry reactions, and refusing to think and learn is noticed as "great qualities" because "anyone can make something with education, doing it without any learning is what's hardcore and cool".

I don't think this has anything at all to do with stupidity. Detroit is about the worst place you could possibly be without an armed escort of some sort. It's a small scale example of what civilization would be like if civility were eliminated. They saw the possibility to justify violence against the man in their own minds and they seized upon that excuse. They're no longer people, they're animals.
