    Did I miss something?

Currently, as healers and their allies acquire better and better gear, the percentage of a player's health that any given heal restores increases significantly.
Well, currently, as DPS and their allies acquire better and better gear, the percentage of a players health that any given spell REMOVES increases significantly.

Using their logic, why is the discussion only on healing? I haven't seen anything that says DPS scaling will also be tied to the growth of player health pools.

Their goal is to do exactly what you said, tie damage scaling to health pool increases. Not sure why you posted this in the priest forums though.

He's also talking about PvE, not PvP. Damage versus player health is being scaled down considerably. The idea is that healthpools, damage, and healing all scale together so that there isn't a huge change in strategy or skills used each tier.
