• Maraad: The Iron Horde will not hesitate to use that cannon on our base. We should find a more tactical location.

• Ovuun: This way. There is a safe spot up ahead, just outside the Iron Horde's facilities.
• Hansel: I s'pose priority number one is to take care o' that nasty giant cannon.

• Maraad: Soon enough. Our first priority is to find Yrel. She is out there somewhere.
• Maraad: D'kaan, you and our champion did some scouting earlier. What did you find?
• Ovuun: ...nothing conclusive, Vindicator.
• Maraad: I see. Well then, we will just have to...
• Maraad: Is everyone alright?
• Thaelin: I think I soiled m'self...

• Maraad: Very well. We will set up camp ahead, and deal with this cannon.

• Yrel: I overheard one of the orcish leaders discussing a plan to use them on Shattrath.
• Thaelin: Shattrath? Ha! Even that big ol' hunk o' metal couldn't hit Shattrath from here.
• Hansel: They could if it was loaded onta' a boat.
• Ovuun: I suspected the same thing. They must plan to load the cannons onto barges at the Naval Base, in the northeast.
• Maraad: Our small group would never survive an attack on the Naval Base. Too fortified.
• Maraad: We will continue attacking their supply lines.
• Yrel: D'kaan, how long have you been scouting out here in Gorgrond?
• Ovuun: A very long time. Longer than you've been alive, probably by two or threefold.
• Thaelin: D'ye get lonely?
• Ovuun: A rangari who is not lonely is not doing his job.
• Hansel: Sounds like a crap job to me. Life ain't worth livin' if y'don't have lads and a lass t'come home to.
• Yrel: Do you have a wife, Hansel?
• Hansel: Ach... the Blackrocks took 'er away.
• Hansel: That's half o'why I'm here: ta look after Thaelin, and ta get me wife back.
• Maraad: We will find your wife, Hansel. And we will leave a wake of bodies behind us. The orcs will pay with blood for what they did to our families.

• Yrel: With Velen gone, I feel like I don't have a home anymore.
• Ovuun: We are draenei, Yrel. Being without a home is in our nature.
• Yrel: I was thinking I might go through the portal with you, my love.
• Maraad: Yes, Yrel. You will have a home on Azeroth.
• Maraad: But first, we will make these orcs suffer for what they did to you. Their sins cannot be forgiven.

So did Yrel really get defiled in the MU or is Maraad simply being paranoid because of what happened to his sister?
Anyway, I didn't really expect Yrel to hook up with Maraad, I really hope she doesn't end up like Aggra.

BTW, I'm pretty glad to see some dark iron dwarf activity, hopefully they will play a big role in the WOD storyline and provide dwarfs with some lore that is not related to archaeology or titans.

She probably did. The orcs seemed to rape every woman they captured before they killed them. It happens in the Unbroken short story. The orcs rape the women then slit their throats and throw them off the Aldor Rise in Shattrath.

To be fair, captivity seems to be a reoccurring theme in WoD. Drek'thar, Maraad and Hansel's wife all get captured and I am sure there are more prisoners.
What I am more worried about is how Yrel will be portrayed besides Maraad and if she will ever act without him.

The orcs raped all the priestesses that were in Shattrath, probably safe to assume they did it in other settlements. Other classes probably went out fighting, but the priestesses can't defend themselves that well.

True, but for conservation of detail in a story, it seems needlessly complicated to make her a new character instead of fleshing out an existing one. Plus, if she's going to be related to him anyway, better that it not have to involve a romantic relationship, because that's a lot harder to pull off well.

Also true, but that could theoretically be true of his sister as well considering our interference in this timeline. There's implication that this timeline does have a Garona, implying his sister suffered her original fate, but my argument is less about what might be true with our current information, but how I think they could have handled it. If Yrel's going to be related to him, she should have just been the sister and just been rescued in this timeline (no Garona, but if Blizzard planned for that, it wouldn't have to matter). Anyway, that's all I'll really say for now I guess. It looks like they made them separate, so there's not much point in discussing what could have beens.

Apparently in the MU she was Maraad's lover and was "defiled and broken" by the orcs.
In the AU she was Maraad's lover and something happened to Maraad? I don't know, she doesn't seem to be as angsty about him as he is about her. Maybe the Maraads combined or something. Now Maraad is concerned about what happened to MU Yrel happening to AU Yrel.

It seems rather convoluted. Would have been nice to see her developed as an independent character before being shoved into a relationship.
