Why should they feel special when any lvl 90 can get any of them easily (with the exception obviously of the staff from Naxx).

Blizzard loves to throw around that whole line of "well you have the achievement with a date on it" crap as well so what's the big deal? Better to show it off in xmog rather than have a bunch of orange weapons that rot in your bank for the rest of eternity.

If anything it's spitting in the face of the people who DID get them when it was current because "lol those weps you have? yeah they're useless now enjoy them just cluttering your bank because we know you don't have the balls to delete them"

Probably because its much more interesting if they gradually unlock transmog restrictions.

Since we've gotten transmog these additions have been added:

Fist weapons changed to one handed.

All MH weapons changed to one handed. (This was a separate change)

Ability to transmog cross weapon types with same model.

Fury warriors able to DW polearms. (Allowing them to add more strength polearms as raid drops)

    - - - Updated - - -

The majority of arguments against legendaries are pretty easy to poke holes in. (However remember, glad mounts aren't account wide while heroic Garrosh mount is, Blizz doesn't always make sense)

Uniqueness and over abundance: legendary cloak anyone?

Why can you transmog FL Sulfuras but not the legendary Sulfuras? Also, Warriors with the weaponmaster glyph can wield Shadow's Edge. The epic prior to Shadowmourne. There's also plenty of other impressive lore weapons and armor which because they are purple instead of orange you can mog but arguably are just as legendary lore-wise:

    Lei Shen's helm and weapons
    FL Sulfuras
Tusks of Mannoroth (nearly as rare or rarer than BC and Vanilla legendaries)
    Gorehowl.
Nearly all of LK's weapons (albeit they don't have unique models)

All those are just as legendary essentially in WoW as Warglaives. In fact, if Illidan was made a boss now, the Warglaives probably would be an epic drop similar to the Tusks.

I'd be very surprised if they never lift the restriction. Would be a great method to reinvigorate old content.

Honestly, to anyone who says they'll be "everywhere", yeah they will.
For all of like 2 days.
Then it'll tone down, and they'll be actually uncommon, just like the Shield from Illidan that everyone and their mother has the hots for.

I for one think they should just allow legendaries to be mogged since it has no real issue anymore.
You wanna go farm some silly old raids to get the legendaries? By all means.

It won't affect me who doesnt have it, nor those who has it.
I'm sorry, but I have to agree with the other gent you quoted. They only way they should make legendary items mogable is if they are earned from the content while it was current. If you have a cheeve stamp with that legendary item from when it was current you deserve the right to prance around with that mog. If you facerolled Molten Core at 80 you shouldn't get to walk around like a badass with a Hand of Rag mog. Only issue is that achievements weren't added until Echoes of Doom so basically we'd have to let anybody who had the legendary achievements from that day have their mog. Better than everybody using one I suppose.

Don't blame the casuals for making Warcraft worse. It's the unskilled masses who refuse to improve themselves and Blizzard who has decided to bribe these folks with an endless shower of purples that should draw the ire of both casual and hardcore alike. It was never about "seeing the content" for these people it's always been about the gear and their sense of entitlement.

I feel sorry for people who busted their asses to get Atiesh specifically, a staff that is no longer available and the ONLY staff with that specific model and effect (the ravens flying around it) who are destined to stand sadly in major cities only as its useless for anything else. Sure, if legendaries were made transmogable you might see an influx of folks using Glaives/Stars fury bow (the two legendary items that are simply dropped) but think about all the other legendaries that required hard work, dedication from guildies etc to help get and now sit wasting away in banks. Its purely cosmetic so why would anyone care? And if people want to go farm said legendaries then feel free, it aint easy free legendaries. Just seems like people are playing the, "I dont have one so fuck you, neither can you". Once again, purely cosmetic so who really cares?

The only way it would work is if you had gotten one of the first say, 5% of Shadowmournes. So it is locked to someone who actually had to put time and effort into getting it.

Because they realize, unlike you, that allowing legendaries to be transmogged would mean servers would be absolutely flooded with legendary transmog, severely limiting variety and deceasing "cool" choices from 50+ weapons, to 3 (sulfuras, thunderfury, glaives) for most classes.

The choice part is important. When quality of weapons is somewhat equal (from raids) than you have tons of possiblities, from all previous raids all the way back to vanilla. But if you allow transmogging the very few items that are of much higher quality than the rest, you limit the choice (for most people) to those few items.

You mean those who was lucky enough to get boosted through content by their guild and lucky close enough to guild/raid leader to get chosen over 5+ other people in guild?

    Yea makes sense... not

Like it was for first week of transmog and everyone runned in t2? Like on second week everyone dropped t2 and no one uses it now? Yea that's problem indeed... not!

Well why not make a extremely hard epic questline for those that have an legendary and after they complete it, they let you transmog legendaries

I am sorry but I do not understand your logic, if it can be called that. How will "everybody" be using legendaries if they allowed them to be transmogged? No, they wont unless they already have them and then whats the issue? they earned it so damn right they should be able to transmog it and if they want to transmog it, then they will have to go get said legendaries like anybody else. Since its purely cosmetic, who fucking cares? Because otherwise past legendaries just waste away in banks or are only equipped in major cities as otherwise they are completely useless, Much like your opinion.
Imagine you have Atiesh, one of the rarest weapons in the game as its no longer available and the ONLY staff with that model and effect (the ravens flying around it). That staff sits in your bank being useless or only being an Epeen status symbol in major cities, what a waste. Instead these past legendaries, that folks worked hard to get (Glaives, Stars fury being simply dropped exceptions) could be transmogged over current Ilvl weapons so that players can keep the memory of their hardwork alive while raiding/etc instead of wasting away in banks. Once again, its purely cosmetic so who fucking cares they worked hard for them, let us "use" them.

Oh boy here we go with "this person earned it*" bs

*Completely ignoring the fact it took 24 other people to make that possible to begin with*

The sheer lengths people will go to defend their terminal cases of special snowflake syndrome in this game is ridiculous.

Surely for all the hard work of getting them, it would make sense that people would want to be able to transmog their current weapon etc to look like their legendary they worked hard for... Just seems rather disappointing that they wouldnt allow you to do so.

    Much lamesauce
"Hard work" aka faceroll through the dungeon every week while overleveling and gearing it by miles. If they allowed transmog for the people who actually attained it when it was current/relevant content, sure. Even that isn't really that big of a deal though, and this is coming from someone who had the Glaive set when they were current content. I enjoyed the benefits of my "hard work" in TBC already, I don't really need to enjoy it any more than that. It's only the people who farm it on easymode that feel like they need some form of a reward for it.

So you're saying that doing the content when it was current is not earning it? Calling somebody a "special snowflake" because they were able to achieve something you were not is merely a sign of blatant jealousy. If you truly didn't care you wouldn't be posting on a World of Warcraft forum about legendary items to begin with. Obviously your statement is meant to convey that you think people are petty about this game, but it betrays you for your envy.

Yeah, would totally love to see everyone and their mother run around with Lolglaives. Totally...it's absolutely not enough that there are always people idling around with them, thinking that anyone still envies them.

And yeah, I got it on my Paladin too, for the Feat of Strengt.

I have no opinion on transmogging INTO a legendary.

    However.

I really want to be able to transmog OUT of a legendary.

This fucking cloak. For 14 months of SOO.

Ofc I can equip something else. Which I do, I sit in town in my PVP gear set.

They could at least disable the damn proc WHEN YOU HAVE SHOW CLOAK OFF.
