Teron'gor and a place we've never heard of [SPOILERS]

Alright, just taking up some space here so hopefully nothing spoilery get into the mouseover text... alright... that should be good, I guess.

It's been said that Teron'gor is the final boss of an Auchindoun instance. I don't think it's a dungeon, and the RP text that mentions him has me thinking scenario. I honestly have no idea, but it's irrelevant. In any case there is an (incomplete as of what we have available) instance. Alright, whatever, no big deal, right? But there is a map named TerongorsConfrontation, and the location is named Remains of Xandros.




Yeah, there's water below, but it's cut out below the main island thing. Probably ain't supposed to be there in the end.

Is there any significance to this place, considering it's where we confront Teron'gor at some point, or is it just another ultimately inconsequential world destroyed by the Legion and used as a short backdrop? I mean, that's obviously true for the map. Second planet with an X starting its name... maybe a sister planet of Xoroth or something. Or maybe X's are just cool.

I dunno, thought it might be notable.

This looks pretty interesting so I did a bit of digging - here is a link to a spell called "Flames of Xandros" that's functionality sounds pretty specific. More than likely, part of some scenario. Definitely a good find though.

Wasn't that place originally part of the warlock green fire quest? Looks very similar to the area locks were transported to in the early creation of the quest

Hmm...looks like the Gul'dan connection to the Legion will be played straight out of the gate instead of waiting for a bit, at least in terms of them obviously serving them/trying to help them.

Don't give me too much credit, all I did was port there with coords someone else had and take a couple shots. I flew around in Auchindoun too. It's just circular, symmetrical, some halls leading to the center, which is kinda open, as in floaty. Kinda big. Can't really get any sense of flow out of it from just the map.

Looks like the place in Firelands where you do the fight vs the ancient or w/e it was for the caster legendary.

On another note. The minimap for both are nearly identical with the exception of a couple rocks and one is blue and the other is red.

Yep, you're exactly right. I thought that might be that case but have no experience with those quests.
