Public display of affection - how do you feel about it?

I've noticed that there seems to be an astonishing amount of people who take issue with people who engages in public display of affection.

I have no problems with public display of affection, I think it's kind of cute when I see people kissing or holding hands or hugging.

How much are you okay with? Just holding hands? Hugs? Kissing?

I feel the big distinction between acceptable and "stop that shit" (the level of what I like to call "showmanship" or the idea of making-a-spectical-of-the-event) is pretty distinct. One is fine. One is less fine, imo.

Obviously I don't make a big deal of it one way or the other. People are gonna do what people are gonna do.
This is just my personal preference.

Depends on what it is. Kissy-face has the potential to irritate me, because I think it's the couple's business and no one else's, and also because I'm a loveless android, but it's just a phase that's typically replaced in a healthy and mature relationship by "I love you simply when you're in the same room."

A kiss and hug, fine. Touching and groping all over each other...go find a room. Kind of hard to explain for me, if I see it I usually don't think anything of it but there are just some things that you don't do in public so I rather not see it.

A long embrace or kiss before a long parting? Totally fine.

A long embrace or a kiss after being away for a long time? Totally fine.
