Nice try NSA.
Alliance no, but Horde could do it easy mode.
If Chris Metzen was writing this story it would be 5000 Alliance soldiers against 1 orc and the orc would win.
If Richard Knack was writing this story it would be 500,000,000 Alliance soldiers against Broxigar and Broxigar would win.
5000 alliance soldiers? Just have like 10 mages run through spamming nether tempest with Ice Barrier up lol.
Open field would be an alliance victory, anywhere else probably marine victory.
With mages ofc they win. I dunno about you but if I saw someone conjure a fireball and incinerate people with a wave of their hand I'd think they were pretty omnipotent, and bullets cant really penetrate magical shields. The marines stand no chance.
Rank and file soldiers in Warcraft aren't equipped with that kind of stuff. Their standard armament is steel.
FOOTMAN
Footmen are the initial line of defense against the Horde. Arrayed in hardened steel armor, they courageously wield broadsword and shield in hand-to-hand combat against their vile Orcish foes. The valorous Footmen are ever prepared to heed the call to arms.

500 head-sized balls of fire smashing into 100 marines is going to make fairly short work. Don't know what the other 4500 people will do. Numbers are too lopsided, even with sticks 50 people can bring down any single person. Machine guns have about 12 seconds on full auto. You'd better hope every one of those bullets put a man down, otherwise they are literally going to kill you right after you run out.
Um... First off I think this entire question is just stupid... secondly, how would 100 marines fare against magic? What if a mage used blizzard? What would the marines do then? If we're talking about alliance soldiers like sword/shield, I still think the alliance would win. Assuming these marines don't have perfect aim, it would take a whole clip to kill maybe 1 or 2 alliance soldiers. That's 100-200 soldiers dead and the marines have already used up one of their limited mags. Besides, the soldiers have guns too, sure they might not be as powerful, but they could snipe off marines from a distance.
The marines would get shit upon.
Most likely the wisest Enhancement Shaman.
the marines got this one, the only limitation would be if they run out of ammo...

Warlocks do not play fair ... succubi.Several warlocks could kill them all. Just summons demons and send them out
Unfortunately for the marines, they're in mountains. The night elves would also like to mention that they *do* magically go invisible. C-4 on a trip ... oh, snap, it has been so long since it was useful that detect traps got overlooked. Meanwhile, there is a feral druid over there getting enough wood to count as a forest thinking: "pop stealth, pick a spot, drop shapeshift, AoE like mad."Rogues can't magically go invisible in the middle of desert.
Back in the rear, one of the priests is thinking: "mountains, and they have no trinkets, remember the glory days of Mind Control!" And the Hunters? They're over there in the corner, crying because: "those guys are so screwed, they spec'd Marksmanship."
With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.
Well then it's just 100 vs. 5000 so clearly the 100 are in big trouble.GAME MECHANICS DO NOT APPLY.
Um.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24867090
It's no longer just a game mechanic. Or working on not being.
