Equal pay for equal work. Nothing wrong with that. People who think there is a war on women are delusional. Forced equality is never good.

The middle class is doing okay.. For now that is. Since the middle class too has an income decrease.
The problem to worry about is the lower class.. The gap to the middle class gets ever wider. And that class gets ever bigger. It's not that far away from the lower class making up for 50%..

I bet Im throwing off the statistics here. I'm willing to undercut every other woman in a GIS job to get a job!
There is no pay gap in the way that you think. You can't just take the average pay of women and compare it to the average pay of men and claim that that proves a pay gap. Men prefer types of jobs that tend to pay more (tend to be non-social jobs) while women prefer types of jobs that pay less (tend to be social jobs).
I just love how people say "Pay gap!" and then bash republicans for not supporting a bill to diminish the alleged 'pay gap' without even referencing what the pay gap even is or refers to. The article itself doesn't even reference what it means by pay gap. Absolutely pathetic.

On a macro scale, the middle class aren't doing okay in terms of growth in purchasing power.
The post was more to pointing out an inconvenient irony. Whereas democrats continue to assert these truths about the "middle class", the policies they sell for the most part do almost nothing to improve the situation of the people who actually comprise of the middle class.
At least not directly.

You know, I wonder if that really would be the case. It's kind of crazy, because there's so much room to screw over that party because of someone's inability to work together.

If I am reading this correctly, that is contrary to literally everything I have read or just assuming those 77 percent numbers take that into consideration, which once again everything I have read previously and today generally refute. (The work history portion, assuming <risky business I know> that your taking work history as in prior experience and current experience.)

It implies sexism because it happens in places dominated by women such as nursing, secretaries and teachers.
You're welcome to google the studies yourself (some of them are public, some aren't, so I really can't give you the ones I read which aren't), I'm only relaying what I learned from my studies on the subject several years ago (and no, things to not change that quickly over a few years).
Yes, across the board women make on average less than men, but in some jobs women are paid more, or pretty darn equally =/-5%, which makes the average pay gap different and lack meaning in comparison to the specific pay gaps in specific fields and professions.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
