    T16 4pc and combat question.

I'm so late to this party the cleanup already happened and people are having breakfast. Since the 4pc applies 10% extra each time, and thus isn't a cumulative bonus but instead calculated each time is it better to drop 4pc and snag warforged pieces and keep 2pc for combat?

The 4-set is actually quite good for combat. Not the strongest set bonus we've seen this expansion, but it's actually stronger than the 2-set. The way the set bonus works is that it's a multiplicatively stacking increase in damage each strike, with the first buff applying on first strike (in other words, the damage from the strikes grow exponentially, or to use your terms, yes it is a cumulative bonus).

    No 4-set damage is: 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150 = 1050% total weapon damage
    4-set damage is: 165, 182, 200, 220, 242, 266, 292 = 1565% total weapon damage, an increase of roughly 50%.

You will probably want to keep the 4-set, but you should consult something like shadowcraft to see for sure.
