I started believe that RNG is not RNG at all. Some people are getting significantly higher legendaries per hour on specific characters. One example is my friend. On his barbarian, he's getting at least 2 3 legendaries per rift excluding plans. If they are rolling dices with uniform distribution, drop peaks should be very rare which is not the case on my friend.

    That's why it's RNG.

Being a C++ programmer and a computer scientist, I know for a fact that RNG is not RNG. In fact, true randomness is an active research topic. Moving on, there are different distribution functions for random number generation. One example is uniform distribution where each number in a given range has a same chance of being generated. So, after enough roll, all numbers should be rolled equally. Since you have no idea about mathematics and mechanics behind random generation, it may be RNG for you but also being a game programmer, I can't save myself considering the fact that there are tons and tons of factors which they may have included while rolling the drops.

Being a A++ gardener and a hobby biomathegician (Dont ask you wouldnt understand) with a PHD in BS, I know for a fact that RNG is RNG. In fact, true randomness is a research tropical fruitdrink, it´s tasty and refreshening. Moving on, there are different distribution factions for random number generation. One example is uniform distribution where each number has a uniform, they look really neat and quite formal I must say. So, after enough roll, all numbers should be rolled equally #FightForEquality #TrueWorld. Since you have no idea about biomathemagician and mechanics behind tropical fruitdrink, it may be not RNG for you but also being a gardener, I can´t possibly save myself considering the fact that vegetables should be available for everyone in this country #godbless.

On Topic: I´ve had T1 runs where I got no legendary at all and Ive had T1 runs where I got around 2 per run (1leg 1 forgotten soul was counted aswell)

Not disputing any side of any arguement but you made yourself look stupid with this post. C++ is a programming language.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

Do you even RNG, bro? It's all about luck! Sometimes when I gamble blood shards I get 4-5 legs from 200 shards, other times I spend 400 shards and receive 0. Yesterday I ran 3 T3 rifts and didn't have a single leg drop, other times I've ran T1 and had 2-3 legs and a plan drop in a single rift. The last 40 bounty caches I've opened contained no legs, this game can be ridiculous at times. Sometimes you have good luck, sometimes you have bad luck. I prefer to farm T1 with several friends because we can freight train it so quickly and farm more rifts in a shorter time span and still get some good drops.

RNG is RNG until you start running higher torments.

I was running T1 a lot because i thought i couldnt handle the higher torments (was so wrong..) and i was getting the repeated same legendary trash drops and lots of legendary trash rings, i got like 10 rings in 2 characters in ~3 hours ;3.

Switched to T2 ~4 days ago and to T3 ~2 days ago and the quality and drop rate of legendary items increased massively, the quality i simply mean better items overall and not the useless ones without anything special on them.

Of course i get like 5 legendaries in 1-2 rifts and then i might not get anything for the next 3 rifts, RNG is RNG right there, but generally at T3 i am getting better drops by far, and rate and quality.

Farming T1 isnt useless if you dont have paragon levels or the damage but if you have the dmg, like ~700k+ you should simply go public games at T2 and higher and 700k+ is easy as hell to get with some decent 600 all resists without paragon levels making T2 public very easy for new characters.

I dont really have the gear to survive t3 or t2 alone without a tank, dmg is fine. So i play t1 to be able to farm effectively.
I clear a t1 rift faster than the 3 of us clear a t3 rift together.

On t1 i get aprox 1 legendary every 4-6th rift. Best ive ever got is 1 legendary and a soul in one rift. In group best i got was 4+plan+soul
    I did 27 rifts today on t1. I got 4 legendaries.
Alone i play with 41 magic find. with the other 2 i use another helm with 0 mf. So i have more magic find alone than in group aswell.

So here is my question. Is t1 rifts totaly useless ? it seems to me that i should just go normal bounty farming than rift t1.
seems you have a 55% higher chance to get legendaries in t3 w/friends compared to t1 alone w/41% MF
my math can be off though

    it can also be 165%×1.2×1.15^3 - 144.1%×1×1.15

seems to be the first one.

Well i`m getting ~ 1 leg per 2 t1 rifts playing in party all of the time, sometimes dint see drop in 4-5 which get compensated with 2 to several drops after in one
I tryed t4 but so far is almost the same 1 leg per rift who is too slow and damage is too much for me

That's just a part of the story. Watch how much he played and how much you played. Diablo has no secret, you have to play A LOT to loot.

In my guild I also have "lucky" players. But after I see that they have more than 300 hours since expansion...

Diablo reward people with no life more, it's just that. And it's normal.

Playing solo in T2, my quota is one legendary every 2 Rifts.
Usually a rift takes me around 20-30 minutes, since I just can't resist thrashing vases. :X

99% of those legendaries are such utter crap, that IMHO they don't even deserve the item status.

Of course playing solo on T1 compared to full group on T3 will yield less legendaries barring some lotto numbers luck of course.

LoL, this is a requirement to sign up to this board and posting on RNG. Wait for it.... it's RNG some time the legendaries rain down other times you go through dry spells. What a concept :P

My guess is he's running at a difficulty that allows him to race through the mobs, and thus he gets more drops.

Na, a lot of the time he's in the same game as me, he just gets much much much more loot. 1-2 Legendaries per Rift usually, I get 1 legendary per 5 rifts, ish. It sounds like rubbish, but it really happens. Same thing with the chest farming nonsense. He was doing the chest farming and getting ridiculous ammounts of legendaries, I did it for a few hours with him and got around 1/4 of the items he got during that time.

It's pretty consistant, I just don't get the same ammount of loot. I'm not complaining as I have had some decent stuff, most of the stuff he got he's salvaged anyway.
Probably running on a Pentium 4
