Need advice on buying a current high-spec laptop

    Hey guys.

Another "What Laptop should I get" thread.

Currently I'm running a nice high-spec tower but for one reason or another I can no longer transport it to and from my University accommodation/home.

I've decided to invest in a laptop because of the reason above as well as the general necessity for something portable and powerful.

    - It needs to be able to replace my current machine (Specs are in my sig) as my main gaming rig and workstation. If it can't match the specs, then it needs to at least serve as a decent enough replacement without losing too much in the CPU department specifically.

    - Size isn't too much of a factor since I'm fairly strong and my bags are heavy duty, but I will be travelling with it a lot so nothing unreasonable (The reason I'm ditching my tower is because it's too difficult to travel with after all).

    - I have no care for flashy lights, an 'edgy' look or any of the usual bollocks companies try to slap on systems/peripherals to label them as "SUPER EXTREME MEGA MOUNTAIN DEW GAMING SUPER SYSTEM 3000". Same goes with gimmicks. I want a portable PC, not a tablet, portable light-show or a washing machine.

    - I have a keyboard and mouse that I intend to use with it. If a certain laptop ticks the boxes but has a crappy keyboard, don't worry, it's not an issue.

    - Budget set at a maximum of 1000 GBP. The better the value the better it'll be ofc, but that's a hard limit I cannot exceed.

Usually I'd just look myself but I have no idea what's hot on the laptop market these days. I've surveyed a few brands but I want as many options as possible.

    Thank you!

What would you like it to be? keep in mind, laptops can be more expensive than Desktops because of the ''oh my gerrdd, its powwtable!'' and also A laptop's specs are always more heavily bottlenecked than a desktop's. I don't know a site that lets you build your own Laptop. Just as you I'm not into laptop market anymore.
Laptops are really unreliable in general if it comes to gaming.
