steady shot autoattack during freezing trap

how the hell do i prevent autoattacking during casting steady shot on a target in freezing trap ?

i got him trapped and i cast steady shot just to break it the moment i start casting it.

Can try something like

/stopattack
/stopattack
/cast Steady Shot
/stopattack
/stopatack

I imagine the problem is that you're target swapping, so auto attack is enabled.

If so, you can macro

/stopattack
/cast Steady Shot

Which will stop your autoshots, unless the shot goes off after you swap target and before you hit the macro.

At a dps loss you can pre-emptively spam escape to stop attacking.

If you spam cobra/steady shot it'll start shooting autoshots, if you simply press the button once it shouldn't trigger the auto attack
