Do you get depressed or unhinged if you can't or don't play WoW for a long while?

Nope, not as long as I substitute it with social interaction.

You kidding me? I start to get unhinged if I do play WoW for too long. Can only deal with this community for so long and solo content is not all that exciting.

If your answer is yes, please seek medical help cause you are an addict. There is no shame in it, it happens, just get help.

Five years of constant WoW and now I've been left with nothing for nine months. My only hobbies for entertainment are either watching dull TV or spend my time all across every board in MMO C.

I'm more depressed than unhinged. The nostalgia of crusading against the Orcs in an RP fashion while playing the game so often is something to be missed.

If you become depressed or "unhinged" because you can't play a game for any period of time, you should seek help. There are obviously issues there that you are ignoring.

League of Legend players practically live for their game, and I'm sure a lot of hardcore raiders out there do as well.

Nope. I play to hang out and raid with friends. I can play with those same friends in other games. Take my friends from me and I'll be upset.

It's the other way around for me. I only play WoW if I'm feeling 'unhinged'.

I did some 6+ years ago, now i get depressed if I play wow for too long.

Honestly, I kind of forget about it. Like 2 weeks ago I was really into it, started levelling yet another alt and obsessing over PvP on my Druid. But I had to stop playing to work on a new project and now I don't plan to log back in until May 1st.

But there's a difference between making a living off of a game and just investing a big portion of your life in it.
None of them are technically wrong, but both can have big consequences and negative sides.
And even though it's reached new heights, I rather like the restless nights. It makes me wonder, makes me think there's more to this, I'm on the brink. It's not the fear of what's beyond, it's just that I might not respond! I have an interest, almost craving, would I like to get to far in?!

    No, I don't. It's a video game, that's it.

I never got depressed when I wasn't playing but I had an addiction to WoW years ago, I practically did nothing but play it all day. These days I don't play WoW, or any other MMO for that matter though.

Nop. And it always amaze me as I'm really into wow (or was, not playing since Xmas for the first time since vanilla). Always think I will miss it and finally when I "have to" stop playing for vacation, military duty or anything else I don't miss it at all.

But I'm always pleased to play it again (waiting WoD beta or launch if no key).

What about if you're depressed 'cause you can't exercise? Should you seek help as well?
