This is a site that I'm sure many, many people keep up in the background constantly while doing other things. I for one have it auto-launch in Chrome every day, and it stays open so that I can refresh it throughout the day.
Nothing is more insanely annoying while listening to music or playing a full-screen game than a random cheerful lady coming on to tell you about the newest cat litter, or to "Have a Happy Period."
Seriously. It's just as bad as those full-screen background adds that open a new tab every time you click somewhere OTHER than the main news post, only for this one, its clear down at the very absolute bottom of the page (you know, where the curse branding is that NOBODY looks at) hiding itself among the Featured Site tiles.
I'd rather have a banner, or a SILENT pop-up add every 30 minutes than have to tab out of a LoL or HotS match to close out of the MMO-Champ tab.
On another note, can anyone suggest a Chrome plugin that disables these stupid videos? ABP does not.

We don't want anyone to see popups, redirects, or ads with sound that play automatically. If you see them, report them with details so we can get rid of them.

Weird, I've had Ad Block for years and have never seen an ad on MMO-C. Is the add-on updated? Re-install it? Originally Posted by Kylista6

You could just download FlashBlock. It blocks all Flash ads while leaving non-Flash ads (I.e. static, silent images or text) intact.
