I only had togc geared alt dk after few weeks of ICC, but damn it was fun to play with different talent setups for each different tank spec.
Loved the season 10 for highest damage spikes frost dk has ever had in arena (again only viable with certain trinket)
But the reason i rolled DK as my main was the announce of Ji-Kun trinket and so in 5.2, Unholy played with more snapshots than feral druid and without the stupid combo point system.

Just noticed that we need cool new trinket to tinker our theorycraft again

The final season of cata, was so fun to play tripple dps vs rls teams.

When desecration existed, made my unholy dk feel like an "unholy"

Probably S5 was when Unholy dk was best, don't recall what patch that was.

DK 1.0 lol, I was really ok with all the patches during wrath

Might get flamed by this statement, but imo (pure DK p.o.v) last patch of cataclysm. I felt like UH were in a very nice spot, both PVE (thanks to the sword from DW made UH totally viable for end game heroic) and PVP aswell. Enjoyed it so much (class, not content).

Otherwise, Frost tank in Wotlk with DW 2x 1handed tank weapons were fun

I would agree with this.

Blood soloing has always been fun, and hit its prime during MoP, I would say (depending on how you look at it).

Can't decide between Unholy in Wrath beta, Blood DPS during Wrath, Frost in Cata with 2x Heroic Hand of Morchok, or Unholy in Cata (with Gurthalak).

Been pretty much downhill from there.
