Anyone else a little bothered by them making BOA weapons 100% drop?

I haven't seen a thread on this, and i kind of thought what was the point in farming them all this time if they're going to make it 100% drop anyway? Sure increase the drop that's fine but 100% is a little over the top IMO. What are other peoples thoughts on this?

They're completely removing them from Garrosh's loot table once WoD releases and Ion wants people to get them while they're here, at least for their main.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

They're making them a 100% drop for your character's 1st Garrosh kill, after that they are no longer a 100% drop but will have an increased drop chance compared to what they have now. And no, doesn't bother me at all.

I think it's fine. If you've gotten more than one to drop already, fantastic! This change
still helps because the post-first drop rate is increasing as well.

Then there's the people the change is really for. Those who've been farming forever
and still haven't been lucky enough to get a loom- they get one, yay!

For those that have gotten all of the heirlooms, who are you and where did you get
    Philip Fry's 7 leaved-clover?!

Really not a big deal. I'm pretty sure they did it to throw players a bone since the drop rate is so low. It's only the first time you get a kill, after that, it's back to the regular drop rate. Or did I miss something?

  6. #6
I don't think this is a problem because the 100% drop rate is only for the first, spec appropriate BoA weapon that can be used while leveling. Other than that, any other BoA is a bonus. Along with that they are increasing the drop rate for those BoA's as well.

Also all BoA's will be removed from his loot table once WoD has been release.

But can you not just change to your alternate spec and get another 100% chance for a boa on your next kill?

maybe im just mistaken on how it works.

No, it doesn't work like that. First time you kill him only (after the change I guess). You can jump between characters to get more, sure, but it's not like you will end up with a bazillion of them. And honestly, all this heirloom talk lately is starting to get really ridiculous, it's HEIRLOOMS for christ sake. Who cares if they get removed, buffed droprate, w/e. They're meant for leveling and then they will be forgotten.

It's not spec oriented, it's player oriented. Ie: You'll get a guaranteed Heirloom on your first kill, for your spec, after that it will be completely random and on a less than 100% chance no matter what spec you are.

It's 100% in 6.0.Which they said will show up a few weeks pre WoD. At that point, who cares? Also

Players who have yet to get any Heirlooms will have a 100% (guaranteed) chance of getting a spec-appropriate Heirloom when defeating Garrosh on Normal difficulty or higher.

I really do not see why this should be an issue. More people get them = more happy people. Yay!

I have a big problem with an heirloom that will be usable for leveling all the way through WOD. For one thing, it's only available to raiders who are a small percentage of the player base. Second unlike prior heirlooms, it's usable in the current content instead of up to the starting level of the current content. But mostly, I resent that this heirloom is limited to such a small percentage of the subscriber base. It's apparently what we can expect throughout WoD. Suddenly, we are going back to TBC where the only subscriber's of value are hardcore raiders. It's simply wrong.

It's only from 6.0 to the launch of WoD, which usually isnt more than a week or so. And especially since it is a year+ after the start of the raid...I don't see much room for complaining about it.

Oh get over it. You don't need it to level. People who raid seriously ALWAYS have better gear than people who don't as they go into the next expansion. What, you want the same gear even if you never do anything but pet battles?

I'm more bothered about them removing them once the expansion hits. far better to just leave the droprate alone and leave them on the loot table permanently. if they're really concerned about people farming them easier at level 100 then reduce the droprate once the expansion's released like they do with mounts. removing content is just ridiculous

I think they stated 6.0 would be out for 4-6 weeks before WoD, in one of the recent dev conversations?

is it really confirmed to be 100% once? I just heard about an overall increase no gurantees. Sounds awesome either way imo
I already have 5 Heirlooms(3 Normal 2 Flex) tho and im not even in a raiding guild

I think that it's totally fine. The group of players that want to hit 100 and clear mythic raiding are the players that have access to these weapons. These tools will be used to make the leveling process quicker and much easier. Because of that i think it's only fair.
