I wondered why people weren't talking about this, because it seems really cool. I guess that's how niche the player base has become...sad, but I guess it doesn't matter. Thought these were worth highlighting:

This event will run from June 10th to August 19th.

Double Fleet Requisition, Warzone Comms, and Credits from PvP matches. For three weeks at a time, events will run that yield increased rewards for participating players. Galactic Starfigher will grant players double the Fleet Requisition and double the credit rewards they would normally get. Warzones will similarly give players double the standard Warzone Comms and double the credit rewards. The increased rewards only apply to the rewards on the scorecard at the end of matches, not the rewards you get from daily/weekly missions. The Starfighter event will run from 2.8 – 2.8.1. The Warzone event will be active from 2.8.1 – 2.8.2.

Groupfinder Operations Overhaul. Story Mode Operations will be more accessible to endgame players (levels 50 – 55). The Operations section in the GroupFinder window will list available Operations on a pre-determined schedule, rotating in different Operations every few days. Players who meet the level requirement of the Operation will be Bolstered, removing the requirement for endgame gear. Rewards have also been improved, making this a great opportunity for players to earn Ultimate Commendations and experience new content. These operations will also be for 16-man mode to ensure faster queue times (both 8 and 16 man need 2 tanks and that is typically the gating factor). 16-man is also more forgiving to mistakes and should increase the chances of a successful group

Very excited! Also can't wait to see what the new level cap/new expansion is later this year. I finally dragged a few friends back to check out the game after two years and they are shocked how much better it is. It's one of the best kept secrets in the market.

This game is really starting to come to the life that we all wanted it to be when it launched. I am glad that swtor is getting into its groove and ramping content at a good clip and giving us all the Galaxy should be.

No kidding right? I was so critical early on, and rightly so, but man are they turning it around. Kinda crazy really.

I'm still enjoying my daily 5-10 GSF matches which alongside raiding is all I really do ingame anymore. After spending maybe 400 hours decorating my various SWG homes I'm looking forward to the stronghold feature being introduced. Like GSF it will no doubt pale in comparison to the SWG counterpart but I will enjoy it fully as I have done with every single aspect of SWTOR to date. All that's missing now is for BW to add Pazaak, Dejarik, Kashyyyk and swoop racing and my midi-chlorians will eject in gleeful fashion...you have all been warned

EDIT: The casino sounds like a cool minigame while waiting for GSF queues to pop. With luck they'll have a legacy perk whereby you can add gambling areas to guild ships.

    Thats me.

I like everything BW is doing. They seem to really be hitting a nice stride but we are lacking in end game raids and FPs to me. Just adding a new NM mode isn't enough. As a raider sure We're going to run that but we have destroyed SM, played HM for months and completed both DF and DP multiple times till we're all max gear and now gearing alts or companions. We're doing the same content with just a little more difficulty and it's just not so much fun doing the same (or similar) encounters after this long.

They got to get more HM FP and raids out. The other additions need to happen as well and there is only so much time in any given cycle of content but beyond the upcoming content that is "just fun time killers", there needs to be more FP and Ops as well to keep some progression and story moving.

I think the problem is that the remaining player base doesn't care about that content as much. Personally, I'd like to see them give great incentives for people to run FPs while also admitting that same server queues don't work. I'd like to see them push bolstering to work in all normal mode FPs so that the queues have a larger pool to pull from. I think that would bridge the gap enough for the players who don't participate in that content to experience it more. Raiding has never been popular, so it's no surprise they have scaled back development of it. I have always liked their raid design though, so maybe they are testing the waters with the bolstering to see if participation increases. If so, then they can rationalize more development for raids. All in good time I suppose.

I am not sure that you are going to see many FPs and Ops anymore.
    Or even in future MMOs.

Developers have been pretty vocal about the man hours verse play time dilemma lately. They are starting to focus more on dynamic content, player generated content, ect.

Pesonally, the content that I want is something that they will never add in (at least I don't think the will). And that content is what Bioware is best at, their personal and overarching stories. Anyway, just had to get that off my chest.

Glad to see that they are creating some interesting stuff and features though.

They've actually been making some noises about bringing those back now that they are making a lot of money.

But, who knows, right? Wall of crazy.

SW:ToR hooked me with the fantastic leveling experience and story elements. Makeb may not have been a personal story, but it was still good. Hopefully they continue to add content like that, but the game has a solid core, so as ong as they don't change much it should be fine...they do have to add more PvE content though to keep it relevant to me.

I doubt they will ever get rid of end game group content. Even new games coming out have those options in some form or another. So I'm not sold on that just yet.

They have always been vocal that we consume content faster than they can create it. Thats nothing new. However, dynamic content is only good may twice. Once you have seen it, then seen it again it's pretty dead after that. Player generated content for what I have played is a no go as well. It's never been great and while content can be generated at a faster pace, it pretty much sucks all across the board.

They will have to have group end game content. Player made content isn't an answer and while dynamic content is good, it's even more limited than the repetition of running FP and OPs over and over. At least in SWTOR you have tactical FP that offer some random choices though even they need to be turned into HM options for normal grouping to allow better rewards.

They don't need to ditch ops, but they need to keep making them accessible. What htey are doing with story modes in the new patch seems like they will move in that direction. Basically: they need LFR and Flex raiding type modes to justify the costs on making new ops and such. This is where Blizzard has really hit the jackpot recently and other games would probably be better served copying this rather than trying to replicate super hard modes.

I would be all for LFR style Operations in this game. I care more about seeing the content than character progression at that level. With the relatively small player population that sees Operations, I think it would do fantastic for them. Maybe allow F2P accounts access to but not loot the LFR style Operation...

The game needs to remove barriers to content from F2P players so that they can provide a better experience for paying customers. I think giving subscribers a bonus to their loot/comms earned is a better solution than preventing F2P from helping fill the ops groups. In fact, it's one of the largest flaws to the game in withholding anything queue related from F2P because it is detrimental to paying players. Hopefully they learn that lesson one day.

That is the main reason why I stopped playing, I couldn't stand their F2P model of making anyone who isn't a subscriber feel like a second class citizen, and constantly reminding the non-subscribers that they're not as good as a subscriber and therefore don't have access to rested xp, some quest rewards, respecs, etc...

I'm glad they let everyone experience the leveling content, but they should have rewarded subscriber more when they went F2P rather than keep the subscriber experience the same and hamstring the non-subscribers.

Like you said, preventing non-subs from accessing much of the content, they are indirectly impacting the experience of subscribers because they are forced to pull from a smaller group of players.
