    Help with computer upgrades

I believe it's time to upgrade my computer and since I don't know much about hardware I need your help.

    Here's my current setup:

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2,8GHz, stock cooler I believe.
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240
    PSU: Fractal Design Integra 400W
    Ram: 2x8GB 1600MHz DDR3 (low profile)
    SSD: 230GB
    HDD: 1TB
I have a keyboard, mouse and a headset.

I'm mainly looking for a new motherboard, CPU and GPU. Also a new PSU if necessary.
Looking for a price between 200-450$ for the CPU, and I was thinking a GTX 780 for the GPU.

Don't know much about motherboards so yeah.

I wanna be able to play new games on high/ultra settings.
Suggestions? Opinions on the GTX 780?

    Thank you.

Also bare in mind that if you ram is high profile might have fitting problems with most aftermarket air coolers, since you didnt mention exactly what it is.

Yeah forgot about that, they are low profile.

Not that I know how but will I be able to overclock with that CPU cooler? Thanks for the reply btw.

Yes idd, i'd say up to 4.2-4.4 GHz you shouldn't have a problem, but noone can tell you for sure. It will depend entirely on how lucky you are with your chip, some overclock easier or go higher with less voltage thus less heating problems etc. That said i have not heard a chip that doesnt go up to 4.2 at least and with that in mind that cooler should be able to handle it. You could say that a 4GHz overlock can be done with most mobo software automatically
