    Things that cause you to instantly lose respect for someone

    I have never had anything like that happen in my life, until last night. I was at a bar watching a basketball game, and a guy and girl came in together, they seemed nice, we talked some, then he took his coat off..covered in nazi tattoos. He then made a comment about basketball players that would make Donald Sterling be taken aback.

    Perhaps it is not respect I lost for him, but just any good thoughts I could have had instantly went away. I have never had my opinion change so fast of someone in my entire life.

    Have you ever had this happen to you? Where you meet someone and they seem nice/cool/whatever, and then you find something out about them that instantly causes all of that to evaporate?

    It was just so weird because i have never met anyone that was like openly a "Nazi" or white supremecist or whatever. he seemed like a normal decent guy, but I guess thats just because I am white..if I was black I'm sure the night would of gone differently.

    Racism/bigotry, cruelty to people or animals, extreme selfishness.

    I also am completely turned off from associating with anyone who is really rude to service people and treats them like subhuman. I guess really anyone who can't interact with other people in a respectful way (presuming those people haven't earned disrespect).
