So I've been reading up on Wildstar for a few weeks now and I've been debating whether or not to pick it up in June. The game certainly looks decent, however I feel like I am missing whatever it is that is causing all of the hype. It looks neat, but what is/are the big thing/things that are attracting people to this game in droves? Is there a big feature I missed? Is PvP structured a certain way? Whatever the reasons may be that you are going to play this game, let me know them, and convince me to play this game instead of WoW.

As others have said, hop on the beta and see for yourself.

I didn't care for it much personally, but I can see to a point why some people rave about it. It had a little bit of a classic WoW vibe, sprinkled with somewhat TERA-esque combat and Borderlands-y humor.

I have been getting completely burned out on MMOs as of late. Dropped WoW a few months ago, got into TESO but quit after the free time, and now I'm looking at Wildstar. I've played a few days in the open beta, and so far I'm really enjoying it. The graphics and game style are refreshing, I'm getting so tired of high fantasy. About time we got some legit Sci-fi shit going. The gameplay so far is a bit simplistic - if you can play WoW, you can play Wildstar. The combat plays more like TERA though, which is not a bad thing.

I have no idea if I'll ever sub for this game. Like I said, I am so burned out on the MMO thing. I plan on taking a break from them all for a few months. If I ever decide to pick up another MMO though, so far, it's going to be Wildstar.

This pretty much. If you enjoy it more than WoW, play it. If you just enjoy it, play
it until WoD so you don't get burned out on WoW.

(Personally, it's not my taste, so I'll just be doing random stuff in WoW for a few more
months.)
