Staying at home on a friday night...

Hi guys,

the last few weeks it's hard for me and my friends to meet and go out on a friday night cause of different things (school, work and such). Problem is I can't stand staying at home on a friday night, I reaaaaallly hate it.

What are you guys doing in such a situation? Do you go out alone? Playing games? Opening new thread on mmochamp? :>

I'm waiting for my girlfriend to come home and then we're going to watch some new Game of Thrones episodes. I rarely go out on friday nights and I don't really play any games anymore.

Well i normally feel the same way as you do and i also don't have anyone to go out with (work, college, etc...) so... i spend my day playing videogames, also... i have a friend that's normally doing nothing at the same hour, so sometimes i go to his house (he lives a little far, but well... is better than nothing), and every now and then i go out on my own (maybe to explore a new place or just to drink in a bar and meet new people -I know is not easy to meet new people, but sometimes the place helps a lot-)

Working full time I hate going out on Friday's. I prefer to just collapse and sleep. I save my nights out until Saturday now.

Although if I had a car, I would try at least getting one friend and going to a store possibly? Maybe you could try nabbing one person at least?

Going out on your own can be surprisingly fun. Some people on here talk about how they meet people in places and get cool conversations, no one ever really talks to me when I'm out on my own, and no one ever like approaches me in pubs or bars or anything, but even so it's fun to go to such places on your own. I really enjoy going for meals by myself, you get to order whatever you want without having to worry about whether the person you are with is going to think you are weird or greedy or trying too hard to not be greedy or whatever. Like, I went to chiquito one time and ordered 2 bowls of nachos and some ice cream (not at the same time) and ate them all on my own because nachos are the fucking best. Seriously, put a bowl of nachos in front of me with cheese on and I will monstermode the fuck out of that bowl untill it's gone. Anyway, it was really cool, got to just sit and watch people, eavesdrop on their conversations, think about stuff. It was good times.

been to the local pub a couple times on my own too, and that's quite fun, like, going somewhere like that, like a cute little country pub, having a drink and reading a book or whatever.

Alternatively, if going out on your own isn't for you, you could join some kind of group or society that organises events and such.

I think staying at home on Friday night and just relax watching t.v. or reading is one of the most euphoric things I get to experience in life. Seriously, I love staying in on Fridays; after a shitty week of work just going home and forgetting about everything for the rest of the day is borderline orgasmic.

I really need to sign up for a new gym, my current one closes at 10-11 pm, and I often feel like working out in the middle of the night..

hm the new Godzilla was released in theaters yesterday, maybe I'll go watch it, though I think it's kinda sad to go to a cinema alone

I feel / felt that way for a long time and even still do to an extent. I can't read most books, I really love being told a story but books take way too long to do it. That said, I do really love cheesy romance novels and like, kinda filthy books. I can read cheesy gay romance novels alllllllll day. I think it's about finding the right kinda book for you.

eh, try a bar or something i guess. I prefer to go out during the week when places are less crowded, i used to always go out on wednesday night but moved away from where the bar was and haven't found one here... then again i also make 50% less now thanks to a shitty economy and military down sizing so yeah....
