I wonder how big a percentage of people who didn't like MoP don't like it only because of the whole pandaren/Asian theme.

Also see a lot of posts saying it was so bad that they quit after a few weeks or months. I don't think you can say it sucked when you only played a small percentage of it.

I agree that the story sucked, but the gameplay (at least on the PvE end) was very good.
    Pros:
-3 decent sized, solid raid tiers
-More non raiding/non pvp content than ever (Brawler's guild, pet battles, proving grounds)
    -Introduction of Flex

    Cons:
-Mediocre story (not a huge deal to me)
    -Lack of 5 mans
    -Making LFR into a staple

Not quite as good as Wrath, but miles ahead of Cata for me.

MoP rocked, the problem is that the majority of players is a rose-glass-wearing bunch of whiners who think that everything was better in TBC (which really sucked balls).

Awesome signature by Toraah - thank you very much!

    MOP was fine IMO!

I judge an expansion by how much fun Ive had playing it.

And I've had LOTS of fun playing MoP, just as I had lots of fun playing Cataclysm. Wotlk was alright, Ulduar especially was amazing, and vanilla and TBC both equally sucked in terms of how much fun they were for me.

    Simple as that.

I thought nothing could be worse than the end of Cata, but Mop actually has it beat. As bad as the end of CATA was It didn't make me unsub. I unsubbed from wow in January for the first time since starting in January 2005. So this to me says that MOP is just not the xpac for me.

Honestly MoP wasn't/isn't that bad. Sure, PVP has been in a better state, community has degraded further and the expansion doesn't offer very challenging content at all outside of HC raiding. Aside from those minor and expected downsides, the only real issue with MoP was that Blizzard went full retard with zone phasing. It made it slightly desolate and gave the illusion that the game had been abandoned. Other than that it was pretty cool.

I agree with pretty much all of your "red" points.
I don't think MoP was one of the better expansions, as the leveling process was a little iffy.
I only think the story and end content were pretty good, comparing to other expansions.

Zandalari Warbringers, Timeless Isle PvP, all sorts of stuff for all sorts of players.
The only really bad thing about MoP in my opinion was the massive gear inflation causing griefing to go off the charts.

It was fine, 6/10 kind of fine.

I think, as it is with a lot of things, people will look back at MoP with more fondness than they are now.

I mean, what were the vocal crowd saying at the end of Wotlk? Omfg, this expansion sucks, we've had ICC for a year, the entire game is a farce. TBC was way better.

And what did they say at the end of Cataclysm? Omfg, this expansion sucks, LFR sucks and we've been doing DS for way too long. But Wotlk was pretty good after all.

And what are they saying now? Omfg, this expansion sucks, it's so casual and full of panda bears and we're doing SoO for over a year. I guess Cataclysm wasn't so bad.

    See a pattern?

What about raid end game is poor? Some of the most challenging bosses we've ever seen? Several difficulty choices for whatever level of player you are? Flex raiding keeping you from having to stick to a preset number of friends?
Meh. It's better to stay away from alt content in order to judge an expansion. And progression does not equal content. Blizzard can just add another layer of difficulty aside from flex and lfr and call it a day.

Cataclysm's dungeons and raids were fun, but players will always judge its entirety based on the final blasphemous raid.

I had no issues with the expansion. But I'm an adult and don't think that every single thing that I do should bring me orgasmic level of entertainment.

MoP, like every other expansion before and vanilla included, had fun parts and not so much fun parts. I don't concentrate comparing this game to any other game since its all subjective.

I had more fun in this game during TBC then any other expansion, but MOP was far better then cata, while it had its issues, dailycrafit, quecraft, and of course pvp was just aweful. The raids where very well done, problem is LFR makes it very hard to see how great the "real" raid is, if throne came out during wrath it would easily be talked as the best raid of the expansion.

panda fit into wow as much as spacegoats and talking cows.

while garrosh was handled "meh", it wasn't a character botch like lk or deathwing.

As far as I'm concerned, no expansion with a 1 year long content drought is good by any means. That means WOTLK, CATA, and MoP. All terrible.

Mists of Pandaria was a great Expansion. Delivered very well.
Yeah, people are gonna argue with "But pandas!". Ignore them.

MOP was my favorite expansion yet. I loved each one, but MOP was the best. Reasons? Loved the raids, loved the continent, loved the storyline, the quests, the factions, the world bosses and rares, the farm and the pet battles and brawlers and proving grounds, and even the little game improvements like group loot, all came together to provide a new level of immersion that I really enjoyed. The patches were interesting and kept me busy. Having said all that, wow can still get better, so I can't wait for next!

I'm not usually one for an Asian theme of any kind, but I did enjoy MoP. Though I
really hate leveling alts through Pandaria, it's just so tedious.

Cata had better pvp then mist of pandaria tho.

Wow, the general opinion that TBC was bad is really gaining steam. It was significantly more popular than Cata/MoP, how bad could it have been?
I can't really judge since I started playing near the end of TBC, but everything I heard/saw about it appeases me.
