Tot Boomie trinkets?

I've seen this dude solo a bunch of crazy stuff on youtube. Is there some reason to use these tot trinkets he has that is better than the soo trinkets? He's the only person I've seen equip those trinkets over soo ones...

This, the fact hes upgraded rings before his weapon just makes me want to find him, and beat him with it.
